Hey I'm Leigh from Australia...
Here because I'm a quality freak. Spent waaayyyy too much time researching because I haven't had a guitar rig in about 5 years so I'm building a new one. Played a bit of bass for a pop punk and an alt rock band for a little while, guitar in a modern rock/pop rock/radio punk band before that.
Rig I'm building is;
Arc Klone v2/Timmy > the elements > radial twin city > matchless dc-30 clone (with dumble style tube fx loop interface)> neunaber echelon > neunaber wet (Hacked pedals so they are remote controlled by a custom Nose Pedals Pedal). Cabled with lava soldered patch and mogami/neutrik longer runs. Powered by a Cioks Schizophrenic on a pedaltrain mini.
Got super board so made a mockup... Guitars are;
Fender 72 thin line reissue, repainted and with lollar regals and Callaham hardware/electronics
Fender Ja-90 with wolfetone p90s and Callaham hardware/electronics
Gibson les Paul traditional with wolfetone marshallheads and Callaham hardware (50s wiring)
Pierce Custom guitars through neck sg with sd pearly gates, dimarzio fred and bigsby
Pierce custom guitars reverse firebird (kinda) with emg 89/85 combo (81/85 combo with split coil neck)
So yeah.... Oh I've spent way too much money...

Re: = Introduce Yourself =
I've been here a little while now, and just realized I've never introduced myself.
I've always been more of a drummer (since the high school days), but have fallen into a black hole of guitar and guitar related gear obsession over the last few years. I was drawn to ILF by the represented builders + epic buy, sell, and trade and started slowly following and posting (plan to continue).
Here is the view outside my gear room window (mostly for those of you who have been kind enough to ship gear back to 1898 for me)...

Hey ILF!
My name's Steve, I own a little shop in Denmark that sells effects. Check it out here:

I'm a long-time lurker of these forums, first time poster - although I know some of u dudes from instagram. My favourite pedal right now (although this changes almost every day!) is this RAT clone by JAM pedals, the rattler+

Re: = Introduce Yourself =
Im new to the forum been lurking for quite some time, I'm 25 years old yesterday and ive been playing guitar for about 13 years. I started out playing thrash metal on an old Washburn acoustic and still love the way heavier music sounds on an acoustic. I mainly play blues and heavier types of music and have stuck with acoustic for a long time. I have a Martin dcpa4 rosewood, and a few older acoustics. Ive never been into the electronic side of guitar and in the past few years ive been attempting to get into it, mainly because of my love of stoner rock and doom metal. Some of the heaviest sounding riffs ive come up with have been acoustic but not very people enjoy playing in a doom band with an acoustic guitar player, which makes since, someday ill find the group of people who can pull it off.
Sooo, 10 years ago i bought a solid state crate 212 combo and a Jackson dinky which i eventually put a dimebucker pickup into, which i still play today. Its perfect for thrash, punk, and metal. Then a lil over a year ago i bought a fender telecaster, its kind of weird, it has a tele pickup in the neck, a strat pickup, then a humbucker in the bridge. I thought it would be perfect because i wanted good tele pickups and then a dirty pickup, still need to figure out how to get that all to work together. I also bought a Blackstar HT5 metal 5 watt tube practice amp and its been great. I recently started playing in a fast punk band. I'm also in the middle of finding people for a bluesy stoner doom band and eventually want a straight blues band, so i needed something with more power so i bought an orange TV50 yesterday! Ive only gotten to play it for a few hours this morning but so far its absolutely amazing. I'm running it on an old vintage acoustic 212 cab from the 70s that i found in my dads attic, it was at one time a combo but the head is missing, it sounds great and will do until i can afford to sell some organs or a foot to buy a matching 412.
Pedal wise im illiterate, im still learning how to use multiple pedals and am going to need to figure out how to use the FX loop on my orange. I only own a few pedals, i have a metal master, which is good for generic metal tones, a boss fuzz box which is a great sounding fuzz pedal, a bad monkey overdrive, blues overdrive, and some other cheaper fuzz pedals that i don't use. I really only use the fuzz pedal.
Just thought this would be a good way to get a foot in the door so to speak. I really am not super experienced with the electric aspect of guitar and am going to have lots of questions so i need some cool people to come to, i live in WV and the local guitar shops are limited and the people are all older guys who mainly play cover/bar music.

Hello to everyone.
I´ve been viewing this fórum for a while, and finally decided to log in. I have been playing guitars for about 6 years, and tried a few different models before settling for a SG. I'm not a native English speaker, so, if you find any errors, please don´t be horrified.
And if you like the music of Miles Davis, we could have a chat

Hi people!
Just a 35 year old childless dude from Norway who's really into music and somewhat into gear. I mean I love it but not a snob/rich blues lawyer, so this seems like a good place to hang? Have been browsing much of the pedalboard thread from time to time, feeling that GAS creeping up... So, decided to sign up finally and hopefully contribute a bit to this fine community.
I play with a revolving cast of misfits a couple times a week in a remote location where the noise is high and mighty. Usually on a guitar (modded Squier '51), but also bass, drums, keys and other electronics. And screaming/talking/singing when it feels right. Jack... master of none. We're not really a band as such right now, but have been known to write songs in the past, something I also do on my own.
I like bands that play fast and scream for the most part, but also sad, twinkly emo, indie/powerpop and hip-hop. Some names that come to mind... Orchid, Funeral Diner, Beau Navire, Punch, Your Heart Breaks, Grass Widow, Wits End, Human Hands, Grinding Halt, Lord Snow, Kate Bush... to name a few. I buy a fair bit of records and tapes, so that's part of the reason why I don't have a ton of awesome gear.
I don't know.
