Awww shiiit, soft touch switches and tap tempo is nice. The harsh click of the switch on my Radical Delay gets delayed along with what I'm playing, which takes it from an otherworldly 11 out of 10 down to a stinkin' old regular 10, unfortunately.

I cordially invite you to fuck right off and let the rest of us talk about music like adults.- dubkitty

Umm, okay. It's a delay pedal with three different modes and some footswitches. It evolved out of a need to make something the singer / guitarist in my band could use to replace his Flashback, so more of a general purpose pedal than the Amnesia or the Radical. While both are cool, they're very focused on their own little niches.UglyCasanova wrote:Tell us about this thing![]()
The modes are essentially tape / analog / digital. They all have modulation, which is a bit different for each mode. All have tap tempo with selectable subdivisions (quarter / dotted / 8th) and the subdivisions setting works on the knob as well as the tap. That means if you set the delay with the time knob and then change your subdivisions the echoes will remain in tempo or pretty close to it. Divisions are accessed by holding down the tap button, since I don't like having to hit a toggle for something like that.
This one also uses the "blue board" hardware, so it has buffered bypass with optional trails. Caveat: like all of the blue board pedals (Golden Summer) this one leaves the mixer active in trails bypass. If you plan to use it at full wet then set it for buffered bypass rather than trails. It's a fun pedal, and CME scooped it up for an exclusive which is pretty cool. If you want one I'm afraid you have to talk to them
I'd be happy to mod that Radical for the current hardware with soft switch.... Email me.Dungus wrote:Awww shiiit, soft touch switches and tap tempo is nice. No delay in that tune, I'm afraid. I do love D.Boon and especially Watt, but it's not directly inspired by the band or the song. I'll send a free Alexander T-shirt to the first person to post a YouTube of themselves or their band playing "History Lesson" with a History Lesson.Chankgeez wrote:If it sounds anything like this, I want it:

Nurple Alert! We made this for a dude who had three army green pedals already. I prefer the green but it's a big world....

I'm definitely holding out for it. It would be my first Flanger.

I think you've made a good first choice though.

I just lied though. I forgot that I bought a Joyo one only a couple of days ago, for bendz. Doesn't really count, you know, because it sucks.

Yeah, flangers with images of airplanes (or ninjas) on 'em don't count.
