I've been getting like 3 hours of sleep for the past few days and Monster is the only thing keeping me going at the moment.
Gotta get up in 2 hours already after drinking at a friend's house. My dinner was a 7-11 hot dog.
I really think that tonight I'm gonna sleep normally though.

Yeah, between my kid, an obnoxious cat that wakes me up by yowling/puking at the worst times, a dog who's terrified of thunderstorms (even ones that are happening 20 miles away), the summer heat, and a job where people regularly start getting in at 7:30 (not me, mind you, but it makes me try to step up my game)... I'm just friggin' exhausted most of the time.

stuff hovering over me and crawling on the ceiling again (normally only happens when I travel alot for work)
Turned the light's on cause it freaked me out
got yelled at by my wife, not sure I deserved it but you scream and turn the lights on at 1am and people react
up for like 4 hours after that

need some drugs to wake up and focus

I am struggling through my online-form-driven corporate end-of-year self-review at work. I should be good at these by now, but I'm just not. This is not helping my motivation. What kind of HR sadist puts these things together? "I know, let's set random abstract goals at the beginning of the year, when nobody knows what's coming down the pike, and then look back at the end of the year, after you had to put time into stuff you couldn't have possibly imagined before, and see how that all stacks up!"

I would so much rather be sleeping.

I'm just glad I'm active while I'm at work. But any time I have longer lunch I start to fade out.

when I was a computer tech I used to stay up all night anyway and work a 2nd job in the late night hours (3Am-8AM) So when I was at the tech job when I was tired I would do pushups. 5-10 at a time and it got the blood flowing to where I was good for at least 20mins before I had to do it again. This was when there wasn't much going on except answering maybe one or two phone calls. Most of my day was spent on a message board calling people names till they rage quit.
