sooooooooooooo..... looking at projecting some Pretentious Video Eyeball Noise during show, i know how to get video onto a pico projector and run it, but the best i can come up with now is pieces longer than each song, hit Next Track right before the next song starts.
my drummer uses a Roland sampler pad (SPD1 i believe?), so it seems like i should be able to set it as a MIDI out on some pads and let him trigger the next video file. so CONCEIVABLY one could have a song with 3 video files, use the pad to switch between them in different sections of a song?
but i don't know what gear would be needed to setup an interface like that and if it's super finicky or time consuming to set up each show, or pretty cost prohibitive, can't really do it.
murrrrrrrr? thoughts?

Kaoss Pad Entrancer? Rare, expensive, and huge, but really cool and easy to learn.

I really wanted this thing to be copied and updated until it reached a reasonable price point, but nobody got on board. Curious if there's anything else remotely like it out there yet. An app would be cool too.

I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

There's a few monome apps that work with video:
If you don't feel like throwing down for a monome, you can use some software to emulate and connect to those apps with a launchpad. If you're MAX savvy you could edit those to work the way you want, or even write new ones as MAX7 has a bunch of built in video modules.
:EDIT: Actually Max For Live devices within Ableton is probably your best bet: http://maxforlive.com/library/index.php?tag=video
