Damn. I'll be in Leeuwarden, NL from August 27th-31st. Maybe I can stay a little longer and drive over to fuzz out with you guys. Pretty long drive though. Hmmmmmm...

Maybe Tris can pick you up if he comes by car...
Edit: crap that IS a huge detour. But maybe you can take a train to Harlem and come with him from there..?

I have a car while I'm there, it's just the matter of my semester at uni already having started. I'll ask my teachers if I can be excused from a few more classes. I have to have 90% attendance in order to take the exams. :grumpy:

On to the planning stages:

The studio people have given a preliminary OK. That means that we won't have to care for

- guitars
- basses
- synths
- amplification
- drums

They also have a very good selection of pedals so for anyone that wants to travel lightly, there will be enough stuff there to set up a rad board, or to add some regular stuff to the few favourites that you wanted to bring along and show everybody.
Seriously, that is a very well-equipped place and I'd be confident walking in there without any gear at all and coming out happy.
Also we will get very high quality recordings of the whole shebang!

But it will not be for free, the more we are the less everyone has pay, obviously, but would people be up for pitching in for the studio rent?

I might be in on this, and will chip in on studio rent then. Just need to know what I'll be doing this autumn first, but since its on a weekend it should work.

Snoop had a run-in with the local cops and vowed he'd never return... so I'm expecting a purple Texan fuzzhead would be an appropriate replacement. Cops aren't nearly as heavy on power crystals as they are on other mind altering substances.

Apparently my roomie is hosting a concert on that weekend!

Fun times!
I can chip in for the studio thing, I'm not too fond of studios really, too much headache.
If it's not prohibitly expensive it makes sense though so not everybody has to bring their whole rig.
Don't we need a drummer, drumcomputer or beats of some kind maybe?

I will talk to Hannes. We perhaps come over for one day/night. Paying a bit for the studio is ok.

I thought we can all fool around on the drums. At least I enjoy it, even though I'm crappy at it.

Tris, don't worry about the headaches, the studio is really relaxed and we all know it's about twiddling knobs, not getting great tracks recorded. The studio dude immediately got what I want.
Me: Yeah, and noone would have to bring amps or guitars
Him: ... and concentrate on bringing more of what matters: effects!

Anyhow, it's not absolutely sure we can have the place, I'll get confirmation during the next week. Maybe the guy will need it to rehearse for his band's tour. If we do get it, he will want to know how many people are coming and price it accordingly. Their rates are really fair though.
