Yeah, I'm a bastard, I'm sorry.
I wish I'd accidentally booked a flight to Norway. Especially for ILF Scandinavian Fuzz Party Time.
Please, accept this link to this Yvette Mimieux album as an apology:

i am Joseph.
i play guitar in a couple bands and bass in one. i can post links if anyone's interested. they're heavier bands for the most part, there's a QotSA on steroids type band with hardcore sprinkles, a typical bar metal band with an Iron Maiden-esque garnish and sprinkled with Slayer, and last there's a punk/ hardcore/ ambientmetal thing that i play bass in.
always been a big music fan and i started playing guitar in elementary school when i first heard Iron Maiden. i started playing bands in middle school when i got into Queens of the Stone Age. and i started writing songs and playing originals in high school when i was listening to a ton of Akimbo and Every Time I Die.
i play quite a few guitars with the mains being a 98 Ibanez S Classic, a 2006 Gibson LP Studio, and an Epi Goth Explorer whose year i never bothered to learn. a pedalboard with a lot of dirt and delays and all that through either an Ampeg V4 or a Sunn Coliseum Bass. some times both.
cheers!

Hey, I'm Tom. I was on HCFX from 2002-2007ish, then I bailed and joined some other forums. I play Basement/acid punk, 80s breakbeat/synthpop and Noisebebop. I mainly play an Mij Jaguar live, and I really like samplers and MST3K. My main influences are Jimi Hendrix, Thelonious Monk, Chrome, Big Black and Meatbeat Manifesto.

Whenever I see this page, I think "Billy! Roddy! Mikey! Jim!"
I'm lost in music. I'm 36, been playing guitar since 1990 or so, but not particularly well for much of that time, including a long, sordid detour as an acoustic strummer guy.
I've been happy for the past 5 years playing a G&L ASAT tribute semihollow into a Vox Pathfinder 10, with a rotating selection of pedals in-between. I bought the G&L at an anomalous time in my life when I thought I was gonna get really into country music, so I picked that baby up along with some Brad Paisley tabs. It has a sunburst finish and white pearl pickguard. Identity crisis I guess. I still like Taylor Swift though. It’s been a good guitar and I’m afraid to part with it. My previous electric was a 1991 Les Paul studio that gave me nothing but trouble. God, it was such a piece of shit. After getting my G&L, it was like well no wonder I didn't like practicing.
I've also got a squier classic vibe bass that I run into a BA-110, but I'm more of a bass owner than a bass player. Need to get some chops.
Anyway, primary listening/playing these days includes QOTSA, PJ Harvey, Hole, the new Failure album, Veruca Salt, Lush. Damn, that stuffs all 20 years old at least or made by 50 year olds. Fuck fuck fuck.
I haven't played with anybody since high school, but am looking to change that soon. Maybe.
Anyway, glad to find a forum where I don't have to worry how's they're gonna take my Clapton joeks.

This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

I finally decided to create an account here. I've been playing guitar for a while now and got really into gear around last year. I primarily make ambient music but I'm working on writing pop stuff now too. hello
