I guess they're comparable. Kind of hard to tell when mine goes down where yours goes up, haha. The controls are the same though, only difference being that he swapped what's controlled by footswitch and toggle. So I have glitch as toggle and two down as footswitch.

Soooooooooo now I want something from Seppuku. Is this what they intended? For me to want it despite my negative outward vocalization of them?

What program do you use to make the geometric visualizations?

sony vegas pro. i started using it when it was just an audio multitracking application before sony bought sonic foundry. it morphed into an audio/video software package.kbithecrowing wrote:What program do you use to make the geometric visualizations?

Re: Seppuku FX
whaaaaaat the hell
okay, can anybody tell me Rhys' email address? i can't find it on the site or in my email history.
i received a pedal today that i didn't order. we exchanged a couple of emails because he'd gotten invoices for things i 'bought' but hadn't gotten any funds and it was his webstore being shitty, i'd added stuff to the cart to check costs and not actually gone through with the order cos i'd decided against it and i thought he had worked it out.
anyway i now have what i assume is a new dlfo pedal which i just tested and it doesn't actually work, it warbles a bit but there's excessive hissing and noise, it's basically unusable. it came missing a screw from the enclosure too.
but i didn't order anything. it just showed up. is anybody here waiting on a dlfo order?

so confused right now

Only having three screws in the encolsure is his new thing. The last four pedals I got from him had three screws too.
LG: i tried messing a bit with the knobs on the DLFO yesterday, does this make sense to you?
Layer: Mix
Range: How much it warps/the depth of the vibrato
Freq: Speed of vibrato
Mix: balance between the first and second LFO, so they're equally present at noon
Unlabled: LFO 1&2
Button: LFO on/off

and
i don't mind but if i'd paid $350 i'd want 4 screws
i can't tell too well cos there's this constant hissing (it takes normal 9vdc right?) but it sounded like a pretty sweet pedal, super wonky vibrato, there's 6 knobs and none are labeled, no idea what anything does.

9v DC should be fine. Have you had a look inside to see if anything has come loose during transport? Mine is dead quiet.
I'm not sure if we have the same layout, but:
First row: layer, range, mix, freq
Second row: on/off button for LFOs and two knobbsies for the LFOs.

Re: Seppuku FX
see the noise is what i would normally assume to be a power issue but i tested it isolated on like a 600ma strymon 9vdc supply so it must be getting the right powerUglyCasanova wrote:9v DC should be fine. this one has two vertical rows of 3 knobs, no buttons/switches or labels, blank upside down enclosure
one was definitely a mix and i heard freq and range type responses when fiddling with the others so i assume its the same controls as yours minus the lfo on/off button.
i had a quick look and nothing was loose but the pots are board mounted so i can't see the board components, didn't wanna do any actual fiddling with it before hearing back from Rhys.
well at least someone who paid $350 didn't receive this one

I don't have a button. Those controls make sense to me, but mine are two unlabel vertical rows.UglyCasanova wrote:![]()

Do you get a volume drop and it is really subtle or non-existant on some settings? It is almost muffled at times. It's like I can only get Sweet spots where it affects the signal and most of the other times its like the lfo are canceling out. I dunno. It really needs a fuzz after it to bring out the sweeps. What about yours?
No real noise though...

Re: Seppuku FX
My Kompakt Kassette arrived not functioning properly.
The clean and delayed signal aren't mixing. The flip switch is only selecting between no delay in the signal or only delay in the signal (and a bit of a volume drop). There's a wire inside that ran from the footswitch to the flip switch that's disconnected, and when I connected them by touch I kinda got some delayed signal back in the circuit, but if it was there it was super quiet.
Emailed Rhys two days ago, no response yet. Seller said it was this way when he had it and didnt realize it was messed up until I showed him UGs demo.
I has a
I guess I have to try amd replace this wire.
UC do you still have those Kompakt Kassette gutshots? I went back through the thread to find them but photobucket says theyre gone.

Re: Seppuku FX
hey kb, found these on the interwebs. may be of use?
pushing the components through their holes, soldering them in cleanly and cutting the excess leads off might be somewhere to start? and then redo the offboard wiring?
