It's a two day fuzz fest! Gives folks a bit more flexibility and more time to jam for those that can! Come on Saturday dude! Check flights to Stockholm ARN!Gigahearts_FX wrote:But why a Friday?? I'm at work then :/

Flights are outrageously expensive and also indirect from my best location so I'm gonna have to politely but regretfully decline :/

We shall see... There may be a Finn joining us... We'll see. If he comes he'll definitely be the butt of the jokes
Next time we'll find a location and a date to suit our Anglo-franco comrades in fuzz! And more Germanic language bros!

Re: ILF EM ALL! Euro meet. 24-25 July.
Setting up a kindergarten is a sweet idea and it tells a lot about your sense of hospitality!
That said, for this type of event I'd rather pay for extra luggage because I took an additional 20kg of pedals rather than taking the kids. My kids are nice but I think you'll love the pedz better!
I've been doing this for the last 7-8 years with some dudes from another forum. We hire a big place with a small stage not too far from Paris (it is the central point with most accessible airport for all/direct flights + low cost carriers), we share the hire costs (€30/head or something), lure a drummer in by promising free food and drinks, and everybody brings as much gear and food as they can (spreadsheet on google docs to make sure there is not ten times the same thing) or we buy some food nearby and cook it on location (there is a big kitchen/fridge, etc.)
For the occasion, I shove a bass/dulcimer/lapsteel/whatever is big with strings in my SKB safe with as many flutes and other small instruments I can fit in the safe and I pack a giant bag with tonz of pedz wrapped in my clothes.
When peeps are on the stage jamming, the others listen/drink/eat or keep on experimenting with the gear in the room using some cheap Behringer Powerplay HA800 headphones preamps (bringing headphones is mandatory). You can plug into any of the headphone amps to listen to what the guys are up to in the different corners and it does not spoil what the duders jamming on stage are trying to do.
The first years we were just replicating the Musikmesse on a smaller scale!
Little by little volume was going up in every corner of the room... It was fun but noisy and in the end no one was really getting as much out of it as they'd hoped. We made so many mistakes through the years and this is what seems to work best.
Anyway I'm not saying at all how it should be run, I guess I just love these things and I'm frustrated because I'd hoped for something like this for a while and cannot join the fun!
Next time boyz, next time...

I know spaarven is in as well. He's been working 07-01:30 for far too long and has no ILF time. But he'll most likely join. We miight take a car to Uppsala and in that case I'll bring everything I can fit in it.
