I don't lose sleep over pedals, but I do dream about them. Oscillating boxes that never were. And stuff I own or lust over. I've dreamt of both the Bitquest and the LSDelay I have incoming, like dreaming that they arrived and I played them and it was cool and I was on a spaceship because of course I was.

Actually never had it over pedals but in guitar heads I plan on getting as in they are ending in a couple of days on auctions or what not and thinking how I'm shuffling some money around cause it's always multiple ones I want to get at once. once it's secured I don't think much about it anymore.

I live in zz top beard territory and my wife loves it. and the only time she's complained about my gear collecting is her hauling in box after box of heads that weight the same as her. Cause often they seem to be delivered when I'm either out of town or not coming home till much later.
