As long as you're not that guy who was selling his Anti-nautilus only to pull it out after a couple of offers because "no one was worthy of his unobtainables."
But yeah, everybody is welcome unless you're being a complete arse or blatantly just trying to sell a product.

Haha, nice nice. Yeah, it's funny... first Gearslutz drove me insane (there are a couple of super negative "guru" regulars who know everything on there and made me constantly wanna gouge my fucking eyeballs out), so I switched to TGP. It's fine, but the levels of turddom frequently surge beyond tolerability there as well. I need a break from "can I stack two Timmys together into an Archer" rill bad.
I'm a graphic designer in addition to being a musician, so my head kinda exploded when I saw the HM Fuzz. Brain pattern: PRETTY / ONE BIG KNOB / SWITCHES / WHAT DOES IT DO???? I could feel my mockability going through the roof. Anyway, I'd like to hear one... wish they weren't clubby.
And btw I love Fuzzhugger's shit! Esp the Algal Bloom. I need to check out some of their other stuff, though... and I haven't played any Smallsound/Bigsound stuff yet, but I f'n love his band.
Also, the profanity here is goddamn glorious. I do believe I'll be just fine.

Re: haunting mids
I was actually thinking today that the P&W ambient guys who are all about Timmy's and Klones and JHS and Walrus Audio drives would really get down on a Fuck or Mini. On lower gain settings it nails that sweet vintage amp OD sag. I can't see any of those guys bringing a pedal that says "Fuck Overdrive" to church though. But I can deffo cop those lame tones with mine and the TimeLine.
Sorry guys, I don't know what just happened there.

On the same note, I've thought to myself many a time "fuck, church must be like an Explosions in the Sky concert these days."

Which place? I'm pretty sure there are many places worst than anything discussed here.IG88 wrote:the worst place on the internet

I would pretend to believe in god if it meant I got to be in a post rock band.

I think this sums up perfectly the secret invite only forum known as Haunting Mids. They sound like a bunch of wankers to me.rustywire wrote:

Re: haunting mids
TGP is all about MN3005s and stupidly expensive analog delays right now, which makes me miss the daily "How are you using your Klone?" threads. So many stupid fucking questions about MN3005s and MN3008s, like latching onto the most minute detail about a pedal as if how it sounds was not the most important thing. Lots of high roller dick-waving going on too, which is nothing new, but for some reason it is even more annoying with the analog delay talk.
Good deals on ILF: too many to list, just ask!

Re: haunting mids
I stupidly lurked TGP at one point, the overuse of the word "MOJO" was enough to drive me batshit. I've mainly been involved in crust punk/sludge projects my whole life, so probably wouldn't have fit in anyways.
Outside of HCFX when I was 13, ILF is all I know. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Re: haunting mids
Perusing random Instagram gear photos I've seen a few very non-P&W pedals that had the graphics modified to not be "offensive". I'm pretty sure I've seen a Fuck on a church board before with custom artwork. I also saw a Black Arts Ritual on ebay one time that had the cyclops Jesus completely scratched off so the dude could use it at church.ThurberMingus wrote: I can't see any of those guys bringing a pedal that says "Fuck Overdrive" to church though.
I too am mesmerized by the looks of that HM pedal. Wonder how hard it would be to get that etched on an enclosure.

Re: haunting mids
LMAO! None. I get razzed in my scene for even having a pedalboard. I only rock a PT mini with a max of 5 pedz and get accused of having to many fancy gizmos.Chankgeez wrote:braaandooon wrote:I've mainly been involved in crust punk/sludge projects my whole life, so probably wouldn't have fit in anyways.
What is the best ambient delay for crust?
