Re: doom room problem.
Trying out new guitarist, he changes chords way too fast. Stick to grindcore, bro.
Each guitar player is running a fullstack and bassist has a fridge. Drummer asks to practice without the big guns because we never use them live.
Not gonna lie though, high volume practice works wonders for low volume gigs. Your drummer will player harder than usual since he's used to being super loud. This way the sound man will have to mix loud because you can't tell a drummer to turn down.

Re: doom room problem.
I would slap a drummer for telling me that.
as a drummer I've always asked everyone to turn up more cause I can't hear them over myself playing.

Re: doom room problem.
Our solution was to just give him heavier sticks and move his drum set to the opposite side of the room so he could still hear himself.
I'm not a very good drummer but I can play consistently hard and often times have to ask everybody to turn up to hear them as well.

Re: doom room problem.
I literally set up with a full stack behind me for practice. if I don't have an amp 3 feet away from my head I can't hear what they are playing.and a half stack that's at my ass/back doesn't cut it either. and I don't like to play softly otherwise.
the only times I've played with the stacks infront of me I had already remembered the songs well enough that I didn't actually need them to play the songs through. I just counted each part.

it's an amp for dudes who like to only have half stalk rubbery erections. Not throbbing hardons that can break bricks.

Re: doom room problem.
What if you roll 2 half stacks? Is that like having a semi erect double wang (cannot recall correct name for that condition...Polypenia?)
Or does that get you to boner town?

depends on what you are stacking on them half stacks. cause it might be a slighly rubbery one but not really an erection yet.

Girlfriend just got back from a two week long trip to London. She wants to take about high tea and shit. Hard to focus on the conversation, due to the past two weeks of drinking and playing loud whenever I want.

ask her if she wants to go back for another 2 weeks so you can get back to enjoying yourself.

High tea would be confusing after 2 weeks on your own.legbear wrote:Girlfriend just got back from a two week long trip to London. She wants to take about high tea and shit. Hard to focus on the conversation, due to the past two weeks of drinking and playing loud whenever I want.
I'd have started rolling one when she asked to go for that.
"Yeah, hon, that sounds great. I'll handle this and you put the kettle on."
*Death stares*
"What?"
*Hate intensifies*
"AH FUCK!? That's right. Sorry, got used to being cool again."
*End relationship. Continue dooming*

Re: doom room problem.
Why wouldn't you use full stacks live? Especially if you have them and practice that way? Full stacks are awesome live.waltdogg wrote:Trying out new guitarist, he changes chords way too fast. Stick to grindcore, bro.
