I'll take ice and a lime slice with my G&T myself. I actually really like Tanqueray but it's definitely distinctive, I can see why people wouldn't like it. I think with the right tonic it really shines.

Knob Creek makes an excellent Manhattan due to the higher proof.

This guy knows whats up. As a whole, Jim Beam Co. makes the best bourbons.

And Jim Beam was/is basically responsible for the Heaven Hill distillery which makes such beauties as Larceny bourbon. REALLY good stuff.

I think I really didn't like knob creek.
Buffalo Trace I buy by the gallon though.

You all like your top shelf stuff. I might have to try that Knob Creek some time. I'm just kicking back enjoying a bottle of Jack Daniels.

Hell yeah, buffalo trace is really good. I had a bottle called Noah's Mill that was 113.5 proof recently and it was pretty fantastic as well.

That is too much. Rubbing alcohol at that point, straight fire going down and not enjoyable.

I was "paid" a bottle of Breckenridge bourbon for playing at a liquor store for a couple of hours. Smooth! I like Black Ridge when I can find it.

I've got a bottle of Rowan's Creek (from the same company) and it's quite delicious, very fruity and smooth.
Curious how the single barrel Knob Creek compares to Booker's. I found Booker's was fine with just a drop of water and letting it sit for a while in the glass before drinking. Anything less than 100 proof kinda feels insubstantial in the mouth now you know?

All the Jim Beam bourbons use a similar mashbill, and there's definitely a weird taste to it. Almost chemical? Maybe bubble gum. I've drank so much of the shitty white label over the years that drinking any of their more refined products hits me with a sense memory of good times past. That said, my go to for the last couple of years has been Four Roses Single Barrel. I've actually been forcing myself to drink other things, aha.

A friend always recommends Booker's but it's typically just outside of my liquor budget for the month.

I actually did find it in a grocery store for like $48 today though.

Makers Mark! I love that stuff!

But for G&T, if you want to treat yourself, try Gin Mare with a rosemary branch instead of lemon. That is some serious stuff!
