Does this app exist? Organising/scheduling thing.
I'm looking for an organiser/scheduling/list thing app. But I don't know if one like this exists. I want to be able to have a number of tasks that I can tick off, or that disappear from the list once they're done. Once the whole list is done I want it to refresh with the same initial items as I put in the list.
The idea is that I've got so much stuff going on that I want to achieve with my music, but I spend a lot of time just plugging in and going off on tangents - which is awesome, but doesn't help me reach all of these more long term goals I've got.
For example, the list might look like:
* Learn a cover
* Write some lyrics
* Play a scale
* Rehearse old material
* Update facebook
* Play whatever
* Play only using fuzz
* Play without using fuzz
etc etc etc.
You could make a fricking enormous list.
I don't want to schedule stuff in so that I have to do it at a particular time, like modular scale Mondays or something, because I've got too much stuff I want to do and because that is just too inflexible for my liking. I also don't want to use a traditional app for task managing because then I'd have to rewrite all the tasks once they were done. I just want it to do everything then reset.
So yes, this exists?

I thought the note program that came with Iphones could do stuff like that. If you are on android (like me now), I don't know.
Maybe that office program that comes for free with android could be of use (you'd have to clear it everyday though).
I mean, you could just create a set of repeating calender events that occur for one minute everyday (or however) at like 4-5 am that you check off as completed.
I have a similar problem, but I wrote everything in permanent marker on dry erase boards. Works well for me...need to add: "stay off ILF" though.

Sigh. If only the real world was like an rpg with objectives ticked off as you complete them.
I always wanted an app that turned my phone into a pipboy.
Streamline my life and organise it dot points!
With a list of my achievements I can click to along with my current stats and what I need to do to level up.

I like Clear a lot. Just a simple list you can tick off and reactivate items if you want them on again. I mainly use it for shopping lists, so I don't have to rewrite Coffee all the time. It's simple, looks good and is gesture-based. You can also add an alarm to any item if you should need that.
I also like Evernote, but that doesn't do what you're looking for.
If you want to tie in E-Mail and Calendar functions you might want to look at Handle, but I prefer dedicated apps.

When I periodically reevaluate the way I use my time I always think in terms of xp and levelling up and stuff haha. So yes, I want to make my life an rpg.
Some good suggestions dudes - will examine closer when the children are asleep/distracted.
Galvar: I also used to use a white board, but it's no longer practical (see aforementioned children) and also because my list of stuff I want to do is getting longer and yeah, effort.

Just downloaded a cue card app (chegg) that almost does what I want. Will try Clear as well.

Wunderlist is free and pretty awesome. Might not have EXACTLY what you are looking for but its pretty straight forward. Make list, make sub lists of list, assign to certain days, set reminders, share lists with others and once things are done you can reactive them as needed.

List wise, you should be able to do any and everything you want with Wunderlist and/or Evernote.

You can do this in Asana, but I don't know if it comes with an app (I use it for work on my typey box).

Yeah but reminders doesn't refresh when the list is complete. I know I could go in and mark everything as incomplete again and start over but that's like effort and stuff.

Yea, I kinda realized that when I posted it too (except the Dr. knew the right name).goroth wrote:Yeah but reminders doesn't refresh when the list is complete. I know I could go in and mark everything as incomplete again and start over but that's like effort and stuff.
It's sad to think that when we have kids my dry erase boards might go away. It's the only structure I have! haha. Might be better to hide it so people don't think I'm crazy too.
