I hate synth bass

There I said it. It's all out in the open now. I tried to like it, I did. I cannot fucking stand it for the life of me. Envelope filters sounds like shit and I can't find one that doesn't. That weird texture that just makes me want to gag. I'm so over it. OVER IT!!! I want my bass to sound like a dinosaur having sex with another dinosaur that is pissed off but happy at the same time! Angry, aggressive, edgy, but not bubbly and smushy. Smushy like balls.

What make me think of this is all the snyth pedals I've tried. They all had that one thing in common, they suck. hahahaha. They may be well built, and make that good tone for that sound, but I hate it! I HATE IT!!!!!!!!! The Magnetar is the closest I can get to tolerating it, but even that annoys me sometimes. What the fuck is wrong with me?

The new Boss pedal makes me want to throw up in my mouth.

The Deep Impact is stupid. I put myself on a list for the new one and will probably drop out honestly.

The coolest sounding ones I've heard that do different sounds, I don't even know if they are synth pedals? Like Gears, that shit sounds awesome and the Mantic stuff. That's about it.

I just can't see it being in any musical context, no matter how hard I try.

Does anyone else feel this way or am I crazy?

I like dirt stacked with dirt on top of dirt. Oh with delay.

This is just a ploy so you don't spend the $700 that you are going to end up spending on it.

Well no I mean as a rule I don't like the tone. It's all Devo and stupid sounding to me. hahaha.

The Boss aside, I just don't like it. Now I fucking love drum machine synths and keyboards.

I guess I should have said bass guitar. hahaha

Like I love fat tones, but not the way that shit makes my bass sound. It's just bad.

I love using synths for bass, but man, I do loathe most "bass synth" pedals. It's that envelope follower BWANK BWANK BOK POK shit. The whole point of using a synth for bass is that it is steady and super powerful and controllable. Trying to make a synth sound like an electric bass is just as foul. I guess I'm more of a Doom style synthesist, when it comes to the low end.
