If that hellhawk was 800 i'd nab it but not at that price esp since the main reason the guy is getting rid of it is that there is not enough gain on tap. So that already knocks against it for me.

I had a ValveKvlt head years ago, but it was no good for metal so I flipped it for different Kvlt.
Kinda wanna get this and build an extension 212 with those Sheffields....but it feels stupid.

I guess I only have the 3 pedals. All the ones I had back in the day when I didn't have gear I've sold off or has gone to shit in my mother's shed behind her house. I'm interested but at a much cheaper price and hell my Sound City is perfect for a pedal platform. I just don't know what to throw in front of it so I just been seeing what you all have been talking about and debating.

Valvekings are so fucking horrible. I'm surprised people ever liked them and actually still by them.

Well, Sound City wins by proximity then.

The gain channel on the VKs are awful, yes.
And as I mentioned, the build quality is hit and miss (the one I had redplated before 60 days was up and later on (not even 18 months) tried to fry a preamp tube).
But, they have a lot of potential as a nice clean pedal platform.
Plus that is cheap for a 100w tube combo down here.
New tubes, maybe some new speakers like those WGS C12s, possibly change the tone caps to something less shitty....could be cool.
Paired with the Sheffields and my Ape Blaster could be damn rad.
But could potentially be another money pit as well.
Although, I'm already playing that game so....whatever.

Build a 2x10 1x15 cab for that little head and it would make a good little recording studio rig. Too good to be used as a door stop. You've just been spoiled dude
