Wot, no cane toads?
 I'm from the southern state of Victoria. We don't have them here yet. But I think they are getting closer. When they do I will probably keep one as a pet. Licking them makes you hallucinate. In Queensland some of the biker clubs initiation ritual is to eat one and live to tell the tale. After that your in. :thumb:

So a question for you guys...

Have any of you tried or own a Ruger 9E? It's like an SR9, but a bit cheaper as it takes a few milling and finish steps off, looses the load indicator from the top, and has non-adjustable sights. I'd be using it for plinking/targets, and as home defense for a while. I've shot an SR9 more than a few times as my dad and my boss own one, but the price tag on the 9E seems very inviting.

Never tried a Ruger before. My favorite is the Glock 23. So accurate. They go for about 500. A little on the higher end I know. But I firmly believe in paying for quality guns. I owned a Springfield XD Subcompact for conceal and carry and it's a 40 cal little bastard of power. Great accuracy at close range. The Glock on the other hand is great and longer distance accuracy. Beretta would be my next choice. So fucking good. Some don't have any safety locks though.

Get a 9 if you're smart so you'll save money on ammo.

Also, I know ranges near me carry just about any guy you could imagine, including automatics that you can rent for the range. That would be a very good way to judge whether or not that gun is for you. :)

The Springfield XD series was another one on my list to try. Looking to get something >450. Looking online I can see great prices, but CO's rules on magazines takes a lot of the readily available great guns out of the run as they don't offer 10 round mags for them. There's a couple of gun stores in pueblo that I'll be doing some research and shopping at within the next few weeks as well.

But yeah, after a little thought on .45 vs. 9 I went with the 9 based on ammo cost alone. I may get a .45 in the future for a more ideal personal carry, but this gun will be a practice tool for a few years.

My XD holds 12 rounds with one clip and 10 with the other. So I've got 22 chances to hit something. LOL. That being said, they sell extended clips for most guns. I've seen ones you can get like 32 fucking rounds in there. Like this one.

hahahaha

9 is the way to go. So much cheaper.

9mm is also a little easier to control. Especially when used with concealed carry pistols, which are typically small/light/snappy, and don't have the benefit of extra weight to counterbalance recoil.

I'd go for something like this:

(The forum doesn't recognize the omega symbol nor will it let me use the URL tags. So, you'll have to copy & paste.)

A little more than you wanna spend, but probably worth it. :idk:

^My pistol is based off CZ's^
EAA Witness PC 9mm

They are made in Italy by Tangfolio, and imported to European American Armory in FL. Got mine for $300 @ a pawn shop, then bought extra mags direct. Even though it's a compact, I still don't like it for concealed carry. The rear sight is tall (might snag), has a hammer guard (which sticks out), and is pretty wide. It's right at this awkward middle point, where it's not the best for c. carry or hyper accurate target shooting. That being said, I can still shoot the hell out of it.

I have a gun question:

Does anybody know what kind of shotgun this is?

Also what type of sights?

For a concealed carry protection weapon there is no substitute for a hammerless 5 shot snub nosed .38 revolver. Can be carried in a coat pocket an then fired inside that coat pocket. No need to worry about the hammer or cylinder snagging on anything when firing or quick drawing. Sure it will probably set your coat on fire, but a coat is a small price to pay compared to your life.

Very much like my xd9 subcompact. However, It has lost out to a little .380 defender as what gets to go with me. Just more convenient.

I just checked that out. Those are awesome. I want one. which is odd because I'm more a revolver fan.

Oh, also, as I walking home yesterday, I saw a spent casing on the sidewalk near my house. I didn't wanna touch it (TWSS), but it looked like a .45 or 9mm. It was a kinda weird experience.
