finally got a video done yesterday. short clip of an hour or so long 'visual album' I'm trying at. drone thing > t resonator // tachyons

i'm glad i can call you a friend. even if i'll never see you again
Inspired by sonidero's birthday, I set up the mixer and some pedals and some toys..
I meant to take a video but when I pulled things off my phone it had been in photo mode instead of video mode all along gah.
Also tried to use some reverb + pitch shifter to turn the metronome into a drum machine, but it didn't work out too good. (My metronome has a line out..)

I think it came from a Walgreens... Most of the cheap noisemaker toys they make for toddlers now have nice thick plastic, but the audio circuits are a single chip with an amp built in, usually under black goop. The black goop makes it harder to circuit bend but not impossible. The trick is adding voltage starve and testing different shorts, and a few of those toys will turn out to glitch good. This phone is phone that glitches good. The LDR on the "screen" speeds up / slows down the playback by voltage starving the circuit. the big knob and switche causes glitches due to feedback loops into the pins of the chip when engaged. I put some resistors in place of the 1 watt-ish speaker to turn it into a very loud line out and mounted a jack there. Another switch goes between the line out and the internal speaker. I'd like to do a few more circuit bent toys some day.

I feel like there were, back in the day when I circuit bent that toy.. granted.. that was over 4 years ago.
Well...
Worked 60+ hours each the past two weeks, but finally got to relax a bit yesterday and make some noise:
No-input mixer with channel sends to Headrush and each head back into its own channel, feedback looping the whole lot through the mini KP and Memory Toy.
Later we went out for a few drinks, then came home and made some nachos.
