It came out right as I was discovering heavier metal. That, demanufacture and vulgar summed up 1994 for me. Everything after that from machine head was just a successively bigger let down. Except for Ten Ton Hammer. That tune ruled.

Yeah I used to be huge into Machine Head. Rob is a bit of a riff machine.
I stopped listening at about the blackening though. It all got a bit too dramatic.

Vulgar Display of Power is start to finish awesome.

Those thrashy bits and the dentist drill tones.
People talk shit about Dimebag fans, and that's fair enough, but he was a genius.
