Hate that the one version of the iphone 6 is like the only phone on the market that works on like every carrier.
My Nexus 5 (and I assume the Nexus 6) is not carrier locked. Just need a new SIM card for whomever you want.
Jwar, have you turned off notifications for the misbehaving apps?
Settings -> Apps -> Find annoying app -> should be a box to uncheck for "show notifications".
Upgrade notification usually come all the time as apps are updated. I'm sure every smart phone does that.

At least my Android doesn't embarrassingly auto-correct. But then again, that's just because I turned it off. WITH OPTIONS.
If I can't take it apart myself and diagnosticize it, I don't invest in it.
iPhones have the option to turn off auto-correct and predictive texting too
No taking apart yourself or anything, but there are more options than people give them credit for

I remember seeing the prototype for that. Part of my is like it's a silly gimmick, but like, if you can use the modules to upgrade various hardware bits as better tech comes out that would be cool.
And may have caved and got an iphone because it was silly cheap.
