Yeah, he has an ear tattoo. It was done by the shelter we adopted him from. All we know about him is that he was picked up as a stray. The shelter just had him neutered too, so I'm guessing his former owners were of the negligent douchebag type and abandoned him.Chankgeez wrote:Colin, does Jimmy have an ear tattoo?
(Also, he's too cute not to've adopted him.)

Holy shit, 27 year old cat! I hope some of my beasts make it that long. The longest any of my previous cats have made is just under 20.fishtankdork wrote:Don't stress too hard if they don't get along. I have a 27 year old short hair Maine coon and a 6 year old long hair Maine coon. Both male. Last year I adopted a little female long hair Maine coon. The boys are lovers. She loved humans. But she wanted to kill anything that wasn't my dog or a human untill 6 months ago. 6 months of crazy viciousness and now they have all loved each other in a peaceful cat harmony the past 6 months. I used to be a 4 cat household also. I had two white Siamese with blue eyes that passed away. They were rad but also again more people cat. They didn't really chill with the other cats but were so loving to people.
Oh, believe me, I know. Cats can be fucking awful sometimes, but I can't ever imagine living without one (or fourechoraven wrote:Congratulations on being a decent human being, but I must forewarn you; C.A.T.S. = Creatures Aligned Totally with Satan! Congrats on the new moggie dude. Me and the missus are major adopters too. We never turn away a stray, feline or canine. Homeless animals break our heart. We put them all together straight away and just keep an eye on things. We just make sure the others don't feel like they are being replaced. There is always plenty of love to go around here. They all get along real well now.colin wrote:Thanks everyone! He's a real sweetheart, he's currently lying curled up by my leg purring away.
We realized that we totally rushed the introduction with our other cats, so he's being kept separate for another day or two before we try that again. Let him get more comfortable in his new environment. And let our existing cats get used to his smell and presence, hopefully.
Part of me is thinking that we may have acted rashly in adopting a fourth cat, but he's part of the family now. Speaking of family though, I'm not looking forward to telling my folks or my in-laws that we got another cat, they already thought that three was a little excessive.
