my band recorded at this studio around here called Brainville a few days ago with sound engineer Ross Ingram(Swans, Isis) - the place was fucking awesome. 3 bedroom house converted to a studio, packed to the brim with gear. kid in a toy shop status. no click track bullshit, 5 songs in 2 days

this is what I used:

V4 through some V30s

kustom triple cross through whatever the fuck is in those kustom cabs

my allies


my buddies bass set up:

some fender bass, I don't know shit - it sounded tight

and the other stuff I failed to document properly :

and of course, what kind of dick jerkin post would this be without a clip (believe me, I know I can't sing)

needless to say it's a really rough mix with a long ways to go, but we are pretty excited about it. it was my first time doing something like this, I had such a fucking blast. kind of like a dream come true. learned a great deal and had to deal with some serious anxiety, so I didn't get to get as crazy as I wanted with layers or spend as much time tracking, cause I just wanted it to just be over., but I won't be so timid next time

haha I can see that. we actually took care of vocals the day before so I was just drunk. take the shrooms for a nice noise session but they hit me sooner than expected and made guitar tracking nerve wrecking(oops). once they let me get wild it was a b-b-b-blast
