So do all you guys still love them?

I can't remember what head I played, but the EQ section seemed really weird.
The guitar shop I work out can get them in, so I can get a discount, but at the same time it's a lot of money to drop on a head.

I also never see the cabs. What's the story on those? THEY LOOK AWESOME.

Got mine in last July. And yep. Like really yep.
I like the cab as well, but it's 1*12" so maybe not what most of you guys are into.
Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth

I like mine a lot -- the EQ is really smooth and easy to dial into. I had him put a low, mid, high, and presence controls in it.

I still love mine. It's so clean and loud, and sounds so full through the Eminence Swamp Thangs that I use in my 212. It's easily louder than my (loud) drummer.

Also, yeah they are not cheap, but compared to a top of the line Orange here in the UK, the prices compare favourably.

Rather than the standard EQ they usually have?

I love mine. I don't think I could ever part with it. I know mine is incredibly stripped down more than most, but I love it.

I had one of Ben's cabs for a long while too. Was an oversized 1x12 that I designed with him. It was a beastly cab. It cost about $200ish more than Emperor back when Emperor was still around, so not the cheapest, but it was well built.

They're solid. My buddy plays his EGC baritone through a Meatsmoke and 4x12" Verellen bass cab which I believe he bought secondhand in Chicago. Very big sound. I'm going to order one, but it's going to be styled more like one of his jazz amps than the cabs that I see paired with the heads. I'm also thinking of going open or at least adjustable back.

It seems like everything he does is customized somehow. Not sure if mine is the "standard" but it does what I want, in any case.

So I just picked up my second Meatsmoke pre. Already have the dual channel pedal, but my buddy made me an offer I couldn't refuse on his custom job rackmount he has.(I was in the market for the rackmount and this one is just too cool.) So it's 2 completely separate preamps in one rack(Total of 4 tubes vs 2 in the single pre.) with the ability to run either mono or dual outputs. It was built with Rickenbacker split outputs in mind so when I got it, it had 2 seperate inputs and was being fed by a splitter pedal. But it's currently in the mail to Verellen to have some more mods done to it. It's getting a switch added so it can be fed by a single input and a separate switch that will select single or dual preamps. I also inquired last night about getting a Boost volume and gain knobs added to both boost channels so it maintains all the functionality of my pedal and gets all the versitility of the dual pres and output options.

Still loving my Skyhammer. I will likely never sell it.

Well then I look forward to seeing full rig pics!

I always wanted tog et one of these to use as the preamp of an insane bass rig setup for a drum / bass duo idea I had. I was gonna get one of the rack mount single channels and then feed it into like 3 or 4 high power peavey power amps into like 6 or 8 ampeg fridges. :yay:

This could be a gamechanger in my world (tube stereo gear)

Ben Verellen is introducing a 200W Tube Stereo Amplifier at $2000, made in the USA with all the Verellen touches. The Kickstarter video link (I couldn't get it to embed properly)

See that's one area I just can't get behind. Home theater? Why??? What is the point?? I just think there is way too much competition in that market and it's way to niche. I would NEVER spend that kind of cash on a home theater. Never. It looks cool, but that's just nuts to me.
