YBA1 and 1A are only like 40-60 watts.

Sent an offer on the peavey stack. Interweb info is positive. Will update on Firebass!

grindonomicon wrote:Anyone ever tried the Peavey Firebass 700 bass head? Looking at splitting a stack with my friend, I'd get the Peavey for about $150. Not familiar with that Peavey head, but it's 700 watts at 2 ohms, and it's got a mid sweep. Seems like a ton of power cheap... And amps should resemble their owners.
Our bassist uses one into either a peavey 4x10 or 4x12 (i think he picked up a 1x15 to run with the 4x10 as well) and I gotta say it actually sounds pretty damn good. It definitely cuts through a mix like nobodies business, just be careful as they can have alot of high end content in the tone and get overly bright quickly. Other then that the midrange and low end are definitely solid.

Huh, Traynor website lists is as the same amp, same power tubes. Don't think 2x power tubes in that could put out 90 watts. :idk:

it's possible with high voltage. it's an older model from the 70's

eitherway i think I might go on and unload it. I can't think of something I'll utilize it with. I like to feel the amp pushing that volume. If it isn't I don't get inspired to do shit. that's why I got rid of the Trace Elliot Super Tramp... sure sounds nice. not loud enough

I feel it is high the last I saw them priced at 1200. But also the last time I saw one for sale was about 3 years ago.

Yeah the 1200s and 2000s seem two of the rarer Sunns. Tbh I'd just get a Model T at that price.

That seems crazy high to me. I know they're going up, but I've seen them recently for way less. There's no one who wouldn't just get a model t if they were looking to spend that much on a vintage sunn.
