My new vid! Featuring stop motion!
This is my 2nd youtube vid. First for my new channel "More Gear Than Talent". I had wanted to do an unboxing video for my Beat Buddy pedal and didn't want to do the same old thing, so I used stop motion animation. Turned out a bit dark, but pleased that I actually got it to work.

For musicians: The guitar track was recorded twice, each time with different pedals. Mixed to somewhat blend with each other, but maintain stereo separation. Then I duplicated the tracks and offset the duplicate slightly (about 2/10ths of a second) which made the tone really fat. Any other details are on the vid page, or post them up here!
Would love to hear comments!

I like the music over the video. That being said, I have never understood unboxing videos. I've seen them and watched them trying to figure it out, but just don't get it. It's weird to me.
If I were you, use the production skills you have to make good demos of the pedal. I wish I had the ability to make my demos sound close to that.

I do agree with you on the unboxing videos, I don't get it either. My purpose in doing it was 2fold; first to have fun with it (mission accomplished) and 2nd to acclimate myself to the software. All of the software used is new to me.
Underneath is my first video. I did this video for a contest at the time for a Beat Buddy pedal (which I won!!). I enjoyed the process so much, that I decided to pursue it.

CURSE YOU NON FUNCTIONING YOUTUBE TAB!!!
So I've made my logo and "branded" my channel (need to create a marquee). My next one I hope to do a review of the actual pedal from a beginner/intermediate player point of view. With each new video I hope to learn more and more on how to make it look cool, but also keep it funny and informal since I'm very much lacking in the guitar skills department.
