DIY KITS - AVAILABLE AGAIN

Post by aens_wife »

We are doing a small run of kits, for all of the people who asked nicely!

http://www.devieverfx.com/store/p48/SMALL_DIY_KITS.html

Just added another 20 of each small kit. Hyperion, Noise Floor, Soda Meiser, BIT:LOF, and VFMs.

Hm. Never built pedals before, but I kinda know how to solder, and I'm great at following instructions. The Bit is tempting, kinda miss my old one. Maybe it's time to start building!

TGD was the first thing I made. Worked but was terribly executed by me.

The bare enclosures are off-putting for me. I had liked to take a kit, but I don't want a so-so paint on it or a plain pedal. :( The price is fantastic, though! :thumb:

Do a good job painting...or get a lot of stickers and cover it. Bare looks great. Mantic and Fairfield stuff is sexy.

Is this limited or will it continue?

For now, this will be limited. There are just a few Hyperion, BIT and Soda Meiser kits left, and less than 10 of the Noise Floor and VFMs left.

Looks like everything is sold out. Fuck. I waited too long. Any chance of more of these?

Polishing the enclosures look awesome. Get a rubber sanding block, some wet and dry sand paper (various grades from course up to ultra fine) and some cutting compound and lambs wool buffer and disc that attaches to a power drill. Wet sand starting with the heavy grade moving gradually to the ultra fine. When you have all the scratches rubbed out, then use the buffer and cutting compond until is polished to an almost chrome finish. You could then send the enclosure off to be etched with your favourite design or learn to etch yourself. A few dudes from this site know their shit when it comes to etching and most people around here a really helpful. A lot of work but rewarding when finished.
