Truer words.....^
Also, thanks Krosis. He has his own ideas about music, but he really like them. Blast Tyrant in particular.

Gotta start 'em somewhere.
My cousin has a 1 year old. I joked that I'm gonna buy her her first LP and Marshall stack when she's old enough lol

Exactly. In that pano pic I'm standing to the right of the bed in there, so I just keep my cables in the nightstand to keep them out of reach of the kid. I keep the door shut (which is one of the only real upgrades from the previous room - kid could just push open the french doors to that room), but have already established the habit of putting away any straps or cables that are out - anything that she could use to drag down and destroy things/hurt herself.samzadgan wrote:thats nice man...real clean and tidy. I notice no cables...when i had my first kid, i had to pack up all the cables too...such a ball ache having to plug everything in everytime i want to play.
Thanks - my wife had painted this room orange a few years ago when it was exclusively a guest room. I hated the color, but it has really grown on me, and all the shit I put on the walls looks nice against it. It does make my Blackstar/Marshall rig look like the stem of a pumpkin in here though...Ancient Astronaught wrote:Mmmmmm I like the orange you used for the walls. The gear aint so bad either!

I'm with you and Sam, no cables ever get left out what so ever with little ones running around the house. There's too much that could go wrong and it forces me to get used to set up / tear down like for a live gig. Just without hauling huge ass cabs around at 2/3 in the morning.....
Your kids have good taste in tunes. My daughter has already started to want to come in and dance around while I riff or listen to records. It's probably the greatest thing ever.Iommic Pope wrote:I'm lazy dad, I leave all my shit plugged in, but coiled up and switched off at the wall, which is behind my cab. Then I shut the room up and enforce pain of death punishments if the kids go in there.
Actually, I haven't had a problem yet, mostly because my man cave is also the dank storage space full of moving boxes and crap and it is pretty much the least inviting place for children ever.
Hell, even I don't wanna go in there sometimes.
The kids are more interested in the Star Wars Lego I got stashed in my room anyhow.
Although, occasionally, my son will ask me to put on a Clutch record, or my daughter will want me to put on an album so she can dance.
Which is the cutest thing ever.
Good eye. It's a green 1966b, same size as the 1965, but 2x12 instead of 4x10. Like it so much I had the 'Ampeg' cab built to the same dimensions. I actually tried to buy a 1965 from a local shop, but he wanted $300 for it and the hybrid Marshall that matched it and was not willing to separate them since 'I'd never be able to sell the amp without the cab.' I mean, he was right, but it still pissed me off.fever606 wrote:Looks great, Trey! What's that Marshall cab? Looks like a 1965b...
No spawn, but I pack everything away when I'm not playing because 1) I just generally like shit tidy and 2) 75lb black lab thinks anything on the floor is a toy.

I don't see a pumpkin stem in there, your fine. And I could see that Orange being a grower not a show'er, I'm just partial to Oranges in general.t-rey wrote:Thanks - my wife had painted this room orange a few years ago when it was exclusively a guest room. It is beautiful, bright and clean by itself and it just so damn raunchy with the fuzz. I'm pretty stoked about it. It's sort of the opposite of the SLO. I haven't spent enough time with it for super deep impressions but it definitely slays like a mofo.
