UG, have you tried any clones of the Schaller Tremolo?

No, its a pretty rugged pedal and i've never considered getting a clone, but i think I was turned onto Fredric Effects having one thanks to your posts so that is probably who I would go with. Or Jimmy Behan. I really liked my Fredric Effects Mutant Fuzz, it nailed exactly my Creppy Fingers Os Mutantes...it just didn't have enough flexability for me compared to the Crerepy Fingers.

Thanks, yeah, I'm still interested in that Schaller trem circuit. Well, either that or a Vox Repeat Percussion clone.

Never tried the Fredric Mutant, but of the ones I've tried the Basic Audio is still my favorite. You should definitely grab one of those eventually.

Hell Yeah, those are two awesome tremolo's. I got lucky and scored a vintage VOX Repeat Percussion, but I think i like my acid fuzz clone better with its wider range etc. It is fun to plug it into my guitar though, something about those old effects that plug directly into your guitar makes me smile.

I traded my Mutant Fuzz to neonblack, he might still have it to lend out for you to try? I think the Os Mutantes is my favorite fuzz face variant. I scored a decked out Mas Mutantes creepy fingers as well that has external bias, and a two way hi/low toggle. It was made for Jerms.

p.s. I'm hoping I'm still able to get in on that basic audio tour box you're running :thumb:

Nah, I'm pretty sure neonblack's already flipped it.

The Os Mutantes fuzz isn't a Fuzz Face variant. I thought so too, but John Lyons corrected me (and he would know). Yeah, I remember you scoring that Creepy. I've got a Creepy Mutantes too, but I still like the Basic Audio better. Brad's got a great ear, so does John.

Don't worry, I've still got you penciled in for that tourbox. It's slowed down a bit because of the holidays. Probably be at least a couple months before it gets to you though.

well....that's cool to know. afaiknew it was originally built onboard the guitar, by their tech and it was a modified fuzz face. So is it an original circuit then??

I've always wanted to try Basic Audio, especially the Squarewave...now ii'll add his Os Mutantes to the list as well. What does the "clamp" knob do? John has such a great reputation but I got hooked on creepy fingers is all.

yeah, I think the Os Mutantes is an original circuit by Claudio Cesar Dias Baptista.

The "clamp" knob on the Basic Audio Fuzz Mutant is really useful. It opens/closes things up and slightly alters the tone/bass response. I've got both three and four knob Fuzz Mutants (the three knob lacks the "clamp") and the four knob is more versatile. Four is the current production.

Cool thanks for the head's up and info. Thats cool knowing I have another unique circuit! That clamp sounds righteous, i might have to try and pick one up sooner than later.

Some LAL lovin with expression pedals on the Tone Axe, Toxic Plant and Misty Cave. I've got the Gristleizer hooked up to the oscillating output on the ear 4096 for making some interesting drones to play over.
