OK, so, necrobump.
I know Joel recommends Mission Engineering exp. pedals, what are my other options?

Re: Chase Bliss Audio "Warped Vinyl" pedal
I have seen that, thanks. (They've been working on that for over a year.)
I think it has too much functionality for me.
I probably just need a simple expression pedal.

I'd save money and just get a Moog ep-3. The swipe on the ME pedal is really short, the metal chassis is heavy (if you bring your board with you) and it's really expensive (compared to the Moog).

I've got a Moog EP-2. It's got a 50K pot.
The Mission Eng. pedals Joel recommends have either 10K or 25K pots. Yeah, I'm not really sold yet on 'em. Good to know they have a short throw. I don't really like short throws. I don't mind a metal enclosure. People've recommended the Dunlop which when used as an expression pedal acts as a 10K.
(... and I think the new Source Audio does either 10K or 50K.)

Re: Chase Bliss Audio "Warped Vinyl" pedal
Oh yeah, didn't think about that. I had ME's volume pedal for a little over a year. The short throw, as you say, made it pretty useless to me. Also, the curve was reversed compared to say a Ernie Ball too. So the volume would increase very quickly to begin with, then slow down. Felt really weird. It wasn't a good pedal for me, at least. Doesn't matter when it comes to the expression pedal though. Just a rant.
I'd give Dunlop a go for sure. Worst case scenario you can use it as a volume pedal and have fun with swells.

Yeah, seems like the Dunlop is a good bet. Thanks for helping me think this out.

It'll probably be a little while before I can afford one though.
