Done a lot of downsizing the past couple years. Down to Bare essentials VHT Pittbull 100 CL with KT88's and an Emperor 6x12 loaded with Fane Medusa 150's. And yes it can doom. Recently played with Graves at Sea and they were asking me about my rig and what pedal I was using to get my tone. The answer? NONE. I use the factory bullet booster used in USA made BC Rich guitars to push the front end a bit and it goes from articulate death metal to wooly fuzzed out dooom in a blink of an eye with more clarity and control than you can ever get with a pedal

If you're inclined to hear it
Watch "Circle of Eyes (live) @ Oakland Metro Operahouse …" on YouTube
Circle of Eyes (live) @ Oakland Metro Operahouse …: http://youtu.be/1FSKtR2s8e8
Should note I am also split into a bass amp at the end of my effects chain which is in the effects loop of the VHT for this vid, but the over all tone is still the vht. I used the bass amp as we perform as a duo

Yeah, man, same with my Fryette/VHT. Tight and cutting to thick, sludgy fuzz, still with clarity and midrange smack.BlackFvckingCancer wrote:

The prices have shot up as well. I'm glad I got mine before then.BlackFvckingCancer wrote:AngryGoldfish wrote:Yeah, man, same with my Fryette/VHT. Tight and cutting to thick, sludgy fuzz, still with clarity and midrange smack.

Nice beast! I think I recall seeing this one for sale. Being kahler guy I avoid floyds, but damn I want a beast someday.
The Fane are unbelievable. Honesty they are like when I switched to Bareknuckles truly next level. Voiced like a vintage 30 with a bit more articulate bass, zero speaker breakup which I love

eem to be pretty low still to me. I can still find em for 1200-1500 which is pretty low considering what they are new and the fact they trump most amps 2k and up
