Adding another guitar to the band and having a more bass tone going on, I scaled back to a 2 amp set up. Right now it's the Sunn 1200s into the GK 4412H (2x10's front facing and 4x12's folded) and the simms into a peabey 4x12 loaded with emmy delta's and swamps. Really diggin it. With dan's guitar in the mix I don't feel the need to have a third "highs" head. just working mids and lows with this. Bass Is Meatsmoke pre>CL400, other guitar is a modern marshall stack.
That cab got finished, but the guy building it overthought things and added extra ply on the interior sides for support, and that wood is vibrating with the exterior wood. So eventually I'm going to gut all the crazy bracing and it'll probably end up as a 6x12. Kinda sucks but it was a crazy idea anyways haha.
