So, fuck you PayPal.
Fuck you right in the fucking mouth with a tentacle beast made of cat and snake dicks that come Hydrochloric acid that tastes like dog shit right before it burns your tongue away.
Could not have said it better myself
Yes.
My account is verified and they still don't give me free stuff.
Fascists.

That’s quarter-assed at best.
See it's dangerous as shit! I have paid off everything I've put on there, but I can just see myself thinking "Oh I can pay this shit off" and it not happening then all that interest slamming me from the last 6 months. UGH.
I've NEVER had a card you could repeatedly use 6 months same as cash. I mean if I wanted to, I could buy a new pedal every six months and easily pay it off. A pedal. My problem is a I'll buy three or four....sigh.
Like I said, I've got issues.
"I do not have the ability to think rationally 90% of the time and I also change my mind at the drop of a hat".
Yah man, bought my wife a new computer and me several pedals with dat 6 months no interest thing. Best thing to do is pay off a substantial chunk in the first 6 weeks, and then $50 here and there for the next several months.
But then.... TEMPTATION.... it grows! "I only have $300 on my Shill Me Later, another $1,200 isn't a big deal at all!"
Yeah, fuck PayPal. I've been trying to get rid of them but there are no decent alternatives that are both widely used and available in France. They screw you on exchange rates and I don't trust them with the security of my personnel information. My bank offers me an ecard service that is far more secure and cheaper for paying online but what I miss is a peer to peer money exchange thingy for when I sell stuff online and things like that.

+1 im not even a super compulsive person and that shit scares the hell out of me. Credit is the devil.
I've only once considered buying something expensive enough that I couldn't outright afford it, made the decision to save/sell for 3 months instead. I've never been in debt, and hope that it can remain an option for me to do so. Credit is a scary mofo, a problem I wish had stayed with my parent's generation.
why pay more for something just because you can't afford it?
Earlier this year I was invited to "paypal select" or whatever for longstanding positive performance. I still won't participate in any of their debt-encouraging services.
No negative balance, no buying shit I cant afford, no debt from gear. That's a rabbit hole I do not need to wander down...especially as a fella whose taste already trends toward the expensive end of the spectrum.
Yeah, it seems weird to me to want to spend money you don't have... Might be a cultural thing.
Anything that encourages you to spend money that is not in your bank account is wrong on so many levels...
Agreed it is the devil. All credit cards are the devil. That is why people like myself who are super compulsive buyers shouldn't have them. No joke though. I'm bipolar and we kind of get off mentally by buying shit. I'm not even joking.
Oh well. I live in the land of the free and the home of the in debt. lol
