My victim has pulled out. Oh well, at least I hadn't bought anything for them yet. I have a new victim to stalk now. Better get to it.

Re: ILF 2014 Secret Santa WISHLIST Thread
My kind stalker might need some help figuring out me and my needs since I haven't been posting much lately.
But to not make it too easy, I'll just list my setup and some vague hints
Bass: Squier VM Bass VI or Cort Action V DLX (modded for active/passive config)
Bass Board: Crappy Tuner - Trauma Tone Bloody Axe Fuzz (built by Wounded Paw) - BAT LSTR - Homemeade Fuzz/Dist - ODB-3 - SYB-5 - Behringer BLE400 - Hall of Fame - Behringer BDI 21 - Marlboro Amp - 4x10
Guitar: Fender Modern Player Jazzmaster (probably gonna add some sort of Telecaster to the collection this year...)
Guitar Board: Polytune - 2nd Voice - Fuzz Factory - FB Loop (Whammy 4 w/ Molten Midi - DOD DFX9 - Ernie Ball VP - Black Russian Muff - Mini Fuzz Face - Dano Fish 'n Chips) - ss/BS Mini - MXR Fullbore - Elements - Algal Bloom - Bacon Booster - BEZ Street Sweeper - Tap Tempo Trem - Arc Flash - PH-3 - Hall of Fame - Small Stone - Digidelay - Kustom Defender 15 Head - 4x12
Notes: pedals in the FB loop are NOT out of the chain when the FB loop is disengaged. Street sweeper and 2nd Voice are controlled via dual exp. pedal.
Generally speaking I prefer Phasers over Flangers (which explains why I have 3 Phasers and 0 Flangers), I like pedals with tap tempo (especially delay, where one can never have enough of), I like the more gritty varieties of dirt (aggressive OD, raunchy distortion, etc.). For example I like the silicon Fuzz Face more than the Germanium because I think the Germanium sounds too woolly and dark, but I like the darker settings on my fuzz factory.
The bass board could use some more modulation, for that I originally intended to buy a Zoom B3, but kinda pushed it back over and over again. For the guitar Board I wanted to replace both my delays with something more versatile and tap tempo (TC Nova Repeater for DFX9 and Digi Timebender for Digidelay). I am also on the edge of needing an additional power supply (or a really big one) but that will come when I rebuild my board. Which will happen. When I get to it
I also wanted to get a new Polytune 2 and move the "old" Polytune I have now to the bass board. I can't use polytune minis because I sometimes play with a brass band and therefore need to change the A frequency to 443 Hz.
I also play drums (but you probably figured that out already) and trombone. I work as a development engineer for electronics and am a DIY guy (you probably figured that out already too).
And as I already said: Shirt size M, no allergies.
Oh kind stalker, you really can't go wrong. Whoever, wherever you are. I will be happy and filled with joy when opening your package.

Re: ILF 2014 Secret Santa WISHLIST Thread
addendum for my stalker. Hope this helps you out a bit:
-I'm a journalist (student) by trade, and I'm also a voracious reader in general, so good writing is always welcome. My favourite authors include Joan Didion, Philip K. Dick, Charles Bukowski, J.G. Ballard, Stephen King, Kerouac, Burroughs, Spillane, Raymond Chandler (huge Chandler fan, and of 30s/40s noir in general), James Ellroy, etc. Anything with a female perspective/antagonist is a bonus.
-My favourite band is Unwound. Also into Sonic Youth, Velvets, Birthday Party, Coltrane, Roland Kirk, Albert Ayler, Miles, Sun Ra, Sonny Sharrock, Patti Smith, Neil Young, Royal Trux, Joni Mitchell, Flipper, Stooges, Captain Beefheart, Ricky Nelson, Cramps, etc etc. Punk and Jazz are twin peaks in my spectrum, with folk the middle plateau. Female singers integral to my tastes.
-Not a big t-shirt man - my thin limbs look best wrapped in button downs, but Canada=layers, so I'm open. Small usually, medium if smalls are stitched really tight.
-oatmeal raisin are my favourite cookies.
-there's more coffee in my veins than blood on any given day, so I'm open to new flavours. I'm openly elitist though, so local shops over any big names (I don't drink tim hortons).
-in terms of music formats, I can and do play cassettes/vinyl/digital
-not gonna give you any hint about gear beyond my usual posts, except that old knobs are always welcome and I've got a couple string sets in a drawer so I'm set there.

Re: ILF 2014 Secret Santa WISHLIST Thread
Since people are wanting more info for this stuff:
My pedal inventory(hint, hint) has already been seeded in an older post. My guitars are a Godin Detour, a Fernandes Strat copy that is about to get a really mix and match pickup complement (Nelson Rhythm Chief, SD vintage P-90, and a lipstick tube humbucker with some switching shenanigans all around), and a Korean Steinberger Spirit headless thing with Harmonic Design Z-90s. My bass is a DeArmond Pilot Pro with Duncan passive soapbars and the stock Cort active eq circuit for now. My amps are a modded Vox Pathfinder 15R, a Marshall Lead 12, a ZT Lunchbox, and a Boogie Quad preamp.
I have no standard rig or pedalboard since I just play for fun at home. My most recent setups have gravitated towards a stereo effects split between the Vox and Marshall amps, though. I've been using the line in on the Lunchbox to get synths and drums from my iPad Mini in the mix. My biggest thing lately is trying to work on looping skills and particularly multi looping stuff--I really dig Scott Cortez's concept that his music comes largely from applied Frippertonics, and doing one person stuff I'm really chasing some of that constructed density, building layers from smaller voices rather than just going full wall of sound with one pass of saturated guitar all the time. Though that's also fun.

OK, seriously? A whole rig post?
Well, aaalright.
I feel sort of bad about this, considering that in my whole life I never made more than about 300€ with music.
