As long as you ain't fuckin' a dude bat, 9 out of 10 rebublicans agree it's fine to fuck bats in Texas.
My friend's mother sent him a text about how to avoid Ebola:
"Don't sit next to sweaty black people."

Don't be a nurse. That's what you get for helping people and working hard and making the world a better place, and especially for believing your superiors care about your well being.
Seriously, that nurse in Texas is dying, and they want to figure out what she did wrong. Bastards.

Pretty much.Mudfuzz wrote:You would think but it made it to Texas… granted Texas might not actually be part of this country.. or a first world segment either.. and it's a place where if I was told they were raping bats I would believe it..D.o.S. wrote:Or you could just live in a first world country. 99.99% chance you won't catch ebola.![]()

There may or may not be a case in Kansas City right now. I hope not. Ugh. I know it's preventable illness, but the more people that get it, the more it can mutate and...well we've all seen 28 Days Later right?

Re: How not to catch Ebola
A few years ago when SARS was the potential pandemic going around I was going to uni on the train. They were always crowded and could never get a seat. So I would start coughing loudly, which was easy cause I smoke a heap of weed. When I would finish coughing I would make a passing comment to the person next to me that I just haven't felt quite right since returning from Asia. All of a sudden people would start slowly moving away from me. I had a seat to sit on then. Yeah I know I'm evil but it was funny to fuck with people.

Someone just did that on a plane in reference to Africa and a couple of guys in hazmat suits escorted him off the plane. You should be able to find the video on YouTube.

People in Dallas are not really freaking out as much as you'd expect. The trains and Fair are still seem as packed as normal. I've heard a few people mention they wouldn't be going into large public gatherings but they seem to be the minority.

I would include myself in that category.

Fuck, Bob. Really?
People need to stop panicking. Africa has huge problems with disease epidemic because it has fucking huge problems across the board with everything else. Motherfuckers there need a break.
Maybe we should send U2 down there to fix it?
Yeah, that's pretty awesome.
Or, more to the point, if you do, there are the resources and basic hygiene infrastructure, such as clean water, food and access to healthcare that isn't third world, that will ensure that a) it doesn't spread and b) you can actually be treated.D.o.S. wrote:Or you could just live in a first world country. 99.99% chance you won't catch ebola.

Re: How not to catch Ebola
I'm currently in a debate with a good friend about whether or not it can go airborne. Paraphrasing:
Me: It's extremely unlikely, but hey sure it could happen, although there's no evidence that it's done so for human to human infection.
Friend: False. It's happened. At least, they think it did. Maybe. But the experiment with pigs and monkeys proves it.
Me: That research was flawed because of poor control over contact between the animals. And it was a strain that doesn't affect humans.
Friend: Bullshit. There's more evidence out there it happened.
Me: The researchers admitted the study wasn't perfect, too. And the likelihood of the illness being transmittable through passive respiration is extremely unlikely since the human-borne disease doesn't significantly affect the respiratory tract.
Friend: Well we don't know for sure and have no control over it so we may be fucked.
oy
