Re: ILF 2014 Secret Santa WISHLIST Thread
Hey so, wow, it's that time. I like pedals and candy and stuff. Send me what you think is cool, because that's pretty much what I'm going to do. It's not just about what I want, it's about what you want me to want, and I want that. Yeah.
Also:
Yeah it'll be difficult to try to get me something based on my posts. I play guitar. I don't have many pedals so there's almost no chance of you getting me something I already have.
Also:
Add to that I'm tall-ish (like 6' 3"), so the t-shirt would need to be one of the longer fitting brands, if you go that rout. Usually a large is better for that reason.DarkAxel wrote:For clothes, I'm somewhere between Medium and Large, if you want to make me look buff, buy me Medium t-shirts

Re: ILF 2014 Secret Santa WISHLIST Thread
Despite by tendency towards verbosity, I’m not always comfortable talking about myself or asking for things, but, in the spirit of our dark lord Secret Satan, here goes….
Pedal-wise, my to-try list is pretty small, must-buy list practically nonexistent at this point, and most things would be over the general SS monetary guidelines but some thoughts….
- Anything MTL.ASM other than GB24/CT5; Incinerator; ES2 echo shifter; hazarai; some sort of nut job psychotic nightmarish phaser?; Mooer micro wahs; anything cool/compact that could fuckshitsup in the loop of my superego, megalith clone?
Outside of pedal realm - idiotsimple beat making tools, pickups of the P/J variety for my Aluminum bass project, fender-spec-heel bari neck
Shirt - XXL.
Comics. I’ve been out of that world for awhile, but cut my teeth on Cerebus, Sandman, No Hope, that kinda stuff. I’ve heard tell there’s a new sandman series? And Saga?
Consumables. Whatev’s. Dark chocolate, that can be shared with the wife. No beer (nothing illegal either, ya dig), but single malt, pinot, loire valley whites. More impressive are things that can be shared with or that are explicitly for the cats.
Tunes. What I’m listening to this week: SWANS. Alice. Nina. Ought. Crescent. Hiss Tracts. June Victory. GVSB. Always interested in Indian musics - whether it’s the native peoples of this continent, Mardi Gras style, or from the subcontinent. That said, I’m pretty much plugged into Spotify 24/7/3666…
But more than anything else, thought that counts bro. Just looking forward to something neat from someone new. Return to stalking. Hail satan.

This should be fuuuuuuun.
I'm not even really sure what I want anymore. I have a penchant for dumb metal distortion pedals (RIP digitech death metal), phasers, and delays.
i wear medium shirts.
I like all manner of evil heavy music.

Re: ILF 2014 Secret Santa WISHLIST Thread
On holidays so I didn't post much lately.
I think what I need is basically a really heavy fuzz (for riffing) or a lofi overdrive / distortion or something that can do both.
I love really weird and synthy pedals too but no noise only pedals or stand alone oscillators (oscillating fuzz can be cool though), versatility in sound and textures is cool.
The stuff I really don't jive with at all so far is Devi Ever, Dwarfcraft and Lastgasp Art Laboratories, I dunno.
Also didn't have much luck with Muffs or Rats (I'm really interested in a Standard Pharaoh or tricked out IC Muff though).
Shirts, sweats and stuff are good, I like longsleeves, size euro L I'd say, I like it a bit baggy but I'm not very tall (1.73 meters), in some cases an M might be better (if the L is pretty long and/or has a wider neck).
I love Rock, Jazz and Electronic music and any special or crazy mix of those genres especially, I hate most Pop and happy music though (apart from Funk, African music or some Folk music), also Noise, Free Jazz and most Drone isn't for me I guess (I love melodies and contrasts).
Other than that just send what you like and surprise me, cd's only would be good (I don't do digital or vinyl at the moment).
Foodwise, I love food, dunno if alcohol is allowed but I guess it should be okay EU -> EU.
I'm really curious about nice local stuff, sauces, hot sauces (I love it really hot and with a lot of taste), sausages, drinks, whatever you can think of.
Not much a fan of sweets but I love anything liquorice / licorice and anything chocolate (though no white chocolate or the really creamy British style milk chocolate like Hershey's and stuff).
Totally forgot, I really don't eat cheese, can't stand it...
Hope I wasn't too long or specific on this, anyway, it's about the fun so I'm very curious and I'll try just about everything with an open mind.
Now off to look for something for my Santee, I wonder, he seems to have a bit the same needs as me.

Re: ILF 2014 Secret Santa WISHLIST Thread
I realized I should probably post a little bit about my tastes.
I would rather not do this but I'm afraid my guy will get frustrated with me if they can't find much info.
I like dirt and delay mostly, but I've also never owned anything else.
I tend to prefer things that sound good with full chords and low notes (I play a baritone mostly).
My dirt pedals usually have lots of volume on tap because I like running things hot.
Most of all, I love weird and interesting things.
If you have something that you think is cool, I'm sure I'm going to think the same.
I am not picky and will love anything that you decide will make a good gift.

I can't stress enough how stoked I am to just be participating in this.
I think everyone is just stoked to exchange fun presents, and everyone's going to be happy no matter what they get, I think.
Wahoo!

I love candy and the NBA and Dr. Who and GoT and other nerdy thing .

Eh,I guess I'll be a little more helpful in case my Satan is having trouble. Although if you've already built or bought something that isn't on my wishlist, no worries!
Things I'm interested in: filters, wahs, bitcrushers, ring mods, fuzz (particularly octave up), reverb, etc. So pretty much anything!
As far as snacks, I'm not too picky, plus if I don't like it chances are my wife will. We both dislike liquorice.
I love cats, but please no kittens.
Lego is pretty awesome, we've developed a decent Lego habit lately.
I like music, I like books. I like stuff.

Anyone mailing kittens should consider themselves breaking the "don't be an asshole" rule. They should also expect to suffer my wrath.colin wrote: I love cats, but please no kittens.
