SA 80000

Post by hbombgraphics »

anyone have any experience with these standards?

curious if anyone else works in a field where they are trying to implement SA 80000 or similar standards

you can't get a great understanding of costs or requirements online and we run to SRG guidelines now

if you have no idea what I am talking about you can post pictures of chinese cleavers

I haven't, but I could try to put you in touch with someone in our HR dept. We're a pretty decent-sized company, and this seems like the kind of thing we'd have in place.

The one big corporate chain I worked at had something about standards, but it was long so I didn't read it.
Like how can you make don't be a dick and don't be rapey sound so dull?

I was just reading that info off the SAI website. Goes to show how Australia is going backwards. One of our former governments have scrapped collective bargaining in the work place and made it difficult for unions to operate with any real power. Now workers must sign workplace contracts that benefit employers mostly and if you don't sign you get the arse. The government have given an employer the right to terminate any workers employment, with no reason if the company has a staff of 99 employees or less.

Dude that sucks,
the challenge is that large companies are expecting fair work standards to be in place at all of their suppliers and it trickles down the whole supply chain
You lean your standards too far in the favor of employers and you will push away customers.
