POLL: When should the next ILF t-shirt campain kick off/end?

Post by jrmy »

All right, people! Due to overwhelming response from the general public and the incredible enthusiasm of several wonderful, excitable (possibly drunk) (at least hopped up on caffeine) (ahem, Iommic Pope) individuals, we are definitely going to try another ILF t-shirt campaign, this one featuring artwork from ILF-centric artists. HOWEVER, before we even start entertaining the notion of asking for submissions, I want to know about when people will be ready for the next campaign! Many of us live that Straight Pedge life, eating beans and ramen to save up for that next pedal, so we don't want to stress anyone's bank account! So pitch in to the poll, and let us know when works for you! The earliest I'm starting things in terms of a formal campaign is mid-November, since if we're doing the artist-designed thing, it will take time for folks to make their designs and get them in...

There will be more polling, of many sorts, or at least asking, to see how you felt about the shirts, etc... but that's all later... also, I'm assuming that people will speak up as they receive 'em... but anyhow... now is the question of WHEN TO BEGIN THE PLEDGING FOR MOAR SHIRTAGE!

This poll will run for one week, and then self destruct.

Also, if you vote for rutabega, I'm gonna take that as a vote for whatever the hell I feel like.

I would also suggest to have the option of Gildan coton T-Shirt as American Apparel doesnt fit if your not Jwar shape. ;)

A Mucha inspired design would be awesome. Obviously get the Algal Bloom gal and faceswap her face with our little awesomeface logo. 8D

This is a good point, and one I hadn't really considered. Eh, let's see where the poll takes us... and hey, don't be afraid to lobby for your point of view on this one! Plus, remember that every Rutabaga vote is a wild-card that the organizer (aka me) can use to further whatever agenda seems to make the most sense. :p

Brand are not important to me. I just prefer standard shape over EU shape.
I don't wear tight shirt as I'm a skinny dude.
I got the latest Fairfiled Circuitry on American Apparel and I just can't wear them, I look silly.
But really like the oldest Fairfield shirt or the Dr. Sci shirt.

Get Behndy and Futuresailors to brainstorm the design. The results couldn't possibly be safe for children. Or anyone else for that matter.

I went with January because I don't know about everyone else, but I find November/December to be reeeeal painful on the wallet due to christmas and things :/

Plus I think delaying it for a bit gives decent time for the next designs to be made up, perfected, and agreed on voting wise.

Is there the opportunity for shirts by Fruit Of The Loom? I've generally found their stuff to be really high quality. I've got hoodies and T-shirts that are 10+ years old made by them that are still good. Faded, but still decent wear-wise.

Quarterly seems regular enough that people remember it but is rare enough its still special.
