aaaah i just realised if i participate i'll have to do all the shopping and shipping whilst overseas so i might not be able to swing it.

on second thought i could put together a japan-themed gift instead of an australian one this year so i should just raise some extra cash and go for it.

I'd like to point out that while the low end of gift range is $50, and that this is, and should be, totally about the good vibes first and OH!YAY!TOYS second, if you don't send someone something that shows you've been dutifully stalking them, you're fucking lame. Even if it's not a pedal per say, it should be rad and musical, not something you could've sent to anyone else on earth with a guitar and a blues fedora.

That's my takeaway as a longtime observer, anyway.

I lurked around ILFmas last year and the part that I liked watching the most was how personal and thoughtful they were. The pedals were nice, but even they were really personal. its not like people just grabbed a fuzz that was gathering dust and stuck it in a box. I saw so many people flipping out over how perfect everything was.
