Upgrading Cell Phone

Also, keep an eye on Target. They ran a sale on the iPhone 5s for $99 and 5c for $29 when we upgraded. They also have a trade in program and were doubling trade prices that day, so we ended up making enough off of the trade to buy groceries for the week

I like my iPhone. I get a new one every two years. Stays current enough in that time frame. Never slow, etc., so long as I upgrade regularly.

Nice to have the Apple support since I have a store locally. Easy enough to get a replacement or whatever if it's malfunctioning or if I break it.

I don't like the whole notion of "larger screen slimmer profile." All these new smart phones coming out with huge ass screens and I'm like, "why not get a tablet."

Sounds like the new iPhone may jump on that train. I'm pretty bent outta shape about it. Good thing I bought the 5S when it came out so I guess I'll have to wait for the 6S or whatever and hope that they stick to some smaller screen designs.

I don't have anything against Google/Android/any other phone as far as hardware goes but I think that Apple makes an aesthetically pleasing OS and device. No complaints. Good phone, would buy again, 10/10.

Yeah my iPhone 4 is starting to feel really slow. And on top of that there are some slight problems with it. Home button not really working consistently and very quiet when on the phone. Other than that I've never really had issues with it and do like the OS so I am leaning towards getting another.

I fully agree with the big screen thing. I don't get it. I am 100% sure that I will break a huge screen like that. Plus I use my phone for music when biking and something that big is bound to get in the way.

The small tablet thing is one of the factors that keeps me away from android phones. I have an HP Touchpad tablet that I hacked and put android software on it - I like it well enough, but it's definitely not as user friendly as ios.

The big phone bridges the gap between cellphones and tablets for the best of both worlds. Not for everyone obviously, but it's nice once you commit to it. The screen is flexible and would have to be smashed with a rock or something to break. The curved shape is just right for back pocket/buttcheek and it can be sat on all the time. I just like it for ease of use/bigger clickables and great picture/visibility.

I went to a Samsung S5 from an iPhone 4S. I have big hands so the bigger screen is a plus for texting. And with the screen bigger, reading news is a lot easier. Plus expandable memory via Micro SD, removable battery.

I imagine a nice drop might do the trick but that's about the same as smashing it on a rock. Nothing's indestructible.

I'd like to try one of the curved screens out to see how it feels to use. Definitely an interesting concept.

I've been really digging my Moto X since I got it. It's quick enough, doesn't have any stupid add-ons that make android phones suck, and the active display feature is basically the best thing ever. And it's not built so slim it falls out of your hand. Big plus.

I like larger screens on phones. Not, like, the huge Galaxy Note things, but something more reasonable. Every time I have to use a friend's iPhone for something it feels cramped. I think it's mostly just what you get used to, though.
