So true...

Post by spaceanomaly »

Men will always be boys. I should know; I'm one.
Yep, gimme some FXs pedals/gear, computers, tablets, game stations... I'll be in heaven.

And I totally agree with this fella, looking back...

"Kids in action figure commercials make me so jealous. Just look at this awesome “giant city playset” they got to stage their battles from.
“Giant city playsets” were never for sale. Only kids in TV commercials got to play with them. And they got paid to do it. I want to kill them all.
I figure they’d be around my age today. My age, but rich, and with nice shoes, and with the fond memories of giant city playsets.
I’ll find them. Their success can’t come without a price."

Remember as a kid asking the man at the toy store where were the giant cities I would see in the tv ads.
Sigh.... those bastards...

Fuck that shit.

Being a kid sucks. You can't drive, drink, go to nice places, sleep with women, travel sans family, etc.

Being an adult is awesome. I'm looking forward to my 30s. I think that decade of life will be my prime.

Looks like I got that one backwards...

Now I just sleep with men while travelling with my family after fasting.

Seriously though. I think people usually think it was awesome because it's in the past. You did it already, and it also has a nostalgia factor. But was it really that good?

What writer was it that said something like 'I hate writing, I love having written.'

EDIT: It was Dorothy Parker.

I can say unequivocally that ages 20-25 were the most fun I've ever had (and ever will have), and it isn't even close. But I'm ok with that, because "having fun" isn't really what's important to me at this point. Having a kid does things to your priorities.

EDIT:: I just realized that I quoted the wrong post. I meant to respond to jfrey. Fixed.

Never felt the need to be a dad. I'm quite happy being an uncle. But I sure understand you :thumb:

I also had most fun during college years [20's]. Not as much as some seem to have , never cared for discos and what not, but sure, I had my adventures then. But I'm quite a playful child at heart.
