You should tell people it's made from Al Roker's stretch marks.

Verrah noice!

Have you given any thought to doing that with an ampeg 8x10 style angle on the top and bottom? for wheels on the bottom and a bar or handles on top? I just find that very easy to move around despite weight. I think any future over sized cabs I either make or commission will have that setup.

I have thought about it, and probably will do one in the future. Right now I just liked making insanely heavy things that I'm just hoisting up on my shoulder to move around. I guess I should give a thought that everyone else isn't beast and could move it like that. Right now I have it at my shed and it's standing on top of the 212 115 cab. Looks great being 8 feet tall that only takes up a footprint of 2 feet.

I know for the 2 huge cabs I'm doing for myself I'll have casters and all but I plan on doing them boxed. I just like that look.

Did some work on the repurposed wood cab over the weekend...got it almost done. Just need to cut a hole for the speaker and find a grill.

Here's a question. With my limited woodworking tools and skills some of the gaps aren't perfect and will more than likely have air escape them. Is that something I should be worried about if I'm trying to make it a sealed cab? Should/can I caulk the seams on the inside to seal it better?

throw some epoxy in the seams. Do it from the inside and you'll keep the aesthetic you have going on with it.

epoxy or caulk is the way to go. And like AxAxSxS said... on the interior to seal it. if you plan on sanding everything on the exterior fill it with a wood putty and then you can sand off the excess with the rest of the box you are sanding. and as standing it looks like a mean bastard.

Yeah no way I doing anything to the outside, it looking exactly how I wanted it too. Im already am pretty happy with the results especially for the amount of effort I've put into it. It looks like it was made in a backyard by a high person...and that what it is.

I feel with some better tools, a bit more precious measurements, and a lot more wood I could do this on a bigger scale that would be constructed road worthy. My next plan is a 218 the size of standard 612, I want to keep it in the same weathered unstained repurposed wood style.

Shit sounds good. when you do the holes for the speakers are you just going to do the grill covers for the speakers?

Well this cab is just a single 15. And it'll be rear loaded. When I have the hole cut, grill in and speaker in it'll all make sense. I'd fail hard at explaining it.

no I get what you are saying perfectly. You answered exactly what I wanted to know.

Did a camera sound test of my new 412. I also miced it out and recorded it all... didn't have a cd-r at my shed like I thought and forgot my jumpdrive.

Noob ass wiring question for y'all builders. Can I run two sets of two 8 ohm / one 16 ohm speakers (two sets of three speakers with mismatched ohms in parallel) in series for 6.4 load. Does that make sense?
