Hardtail bass VI

Bought this body and neck a couple of years ago, before the reissues were released However, I never liked that tremolo anyway, so I'm still happy to have gone the Warmoth route. Took this long to do anything with the parts because I got ill, had no job, was broke for ages, yadda, yadda, yadda...

I'm going with two chrome covered P90s and a black guard to begin with. Once I have a feel for her, I'll be doing something silly...

Do it. Don't judge them based on the crap strings Fender insist on using- you need at least a .095 on the low E. This one has the .102 set from Circle K strings and it's spot on.

Tremolo is currently top of my list, but I'm going to play it a few months before deciding what goes in. Tremolo + Megalith combo would end worlds, and is just about possible. It would involve having the Megalith controls being on trimpots accessible through holes in the scratchplate between the pickups.
I was also wondering what would happen if I had the fuzz wired up to the bride pickup only and the tremolo on the neck pickup only. I think it could be fun...

Those are both great ideas, 90% of the reason I'm saving for a Squier one is to be able to use it as a standalone instrument in a duo and that would be almost all I'd need effects-wise. Also, if you play loud enough it would make the entire audience seasick which is a plus.
