Hey guys,
just a heads up about the Rogue Guitar Shop. That smells like some not so nice business practices.
I payed for a Mona Wah via paypal on april 4th (on reverb.com). I got a notification by reverb.com that the pedal shipped on april 8th. The tracking information says this:

Date & Time Status of Item Location
April 8, 2014 Electronic Shipping Info Received

After not getting anything i opened a buyer protection case in paypal on june 2nd.
Now it got these emails by the rogue guitar shop (nothing via paypal!):

Hi Friend,

are you still wanting this pedal?

If you don't want the item could you please message us?

That way we can close the case

Sure i want the item. That's why i paid for it in first place.

And it got this answer:

Than let's close the case so that we can get it to you.
We cannot ship you an item until the case is closed

Yeah, sure.
I loose the buyer protection if i close the case. Tomorrow is the paypal deadline and they never delivered any information to the case yet. Let's see how it works out. I really hate that shit...

But paypal will cover you. In order for a seller to win a case, they pretty much have to film packaging, transporting and hand-delivering the item in person.

I've bought from Rogue once, got a great price on the pedal and no problems at all. However that was before I'd heard about these problems from them. I don't know that I'd order from them again, definitely shady.

I bought my Kilobyte delay from them. Everything thing went quickly and smoothly for me. Seems shady they want you to close the case though...

That is so shady. I wouldn't close the case until I received the pedal. Plus, why the hell are they saying they'll ship the pedal when you close the case seeing as they submitted shipping info nearly a month before you opened the case? I think this is a case where if you hadn't opened a dispute you would have totally gotten screwed. I'm definitely never buying from Rogue again.

Good News: got the Money from paypal back. Joespedals has the Mona wah in, so i pulled the trigger to get it from there.

BTW: No further Communication from Rouge Guitar Shop....
