Yea that's what I was about to say... he lists it as 800 like you think it's going to be everything pictured but each set up is 800... no good bastard. great pic though.

In Australia you're looking at paying close to $1500 for just a sunn tube head. So $2400 for the lot isn't much of a stretch for me haha
But shipping.
Shipping...

$2400 for all that as a starting point for negotiations is not insane. Id be interested if those were not 60 watt heads. I need LOUD and Clean
60 watts IMO is one or the other. If they were heads I was after I could see paying 2 g's easy for that.(if I had it) Makes one hell of a visual impact for sure.

No it's not insane but it's not in my realm of bargin hunting goodness. Not particularlly interested in any bit of it. My gas for cabs has now been quieted that I can build the ones I want and as many as I want.

So it would all be down to the heads and I'm like you... not the particular ones I'm after.

$800 aint bad for a lil home stack though right

with all the insanity
this is a guy flush with sunn
and he aint tryin to get rich
nice for a change
that other lil "estate find' collisseum punk stack for 1500
am i right?

800 is fair i guess. I'd be more cool with 600, which maybe he'd go down to? but again, underpowered to my taste. I mean 60 watts can get plenty loud, you are just loosing out on headroom.
I paid $400 for my 1200s (sold as non working) and I think I would prefer that to a T, but those deals are hard to find.

But those are the deals I keep digging to find. Though lately I've been kinda laying low and searching more for deals on speakers I can use to stock my cabs. Like with those Cannabis Rex speakers I got. a full 4 ended up only costing me 150. and I planned on dropping them in another Tallboy cab and I have a dude who already wants it to go with the first one I built. he wants both. so damn I'm going to be gassing for my own shit cause I can't keep it on hand for myself even.

I do sometimes. I'm semi addicted to the hunt. The gear I am running now is pretty stellar. If it does not sound good, I am fucking up. I pretty much have 3 endgame amps and the cab situation is getting beyond insane. I still look though. It's just that the standard here in the DR is so high that often what might be a good deal for a cool piece of gear to most folks, just aint going to cut it. So I don't bother sharing what I consider run of the mill stuff. maybe I should.
It also seems like the general public has become more educated. Deals on killer stuff are pretty few and far between. They do pop up from time to time and I think the best strategy is to have a nest egg for that sudden crazy item.

On the amp side right now, unless it's a meatsmoke that someone is looking to trade for a smaller but still epic amp, I'm probably not in the market. I still look though. Habit? a strange form of recreation? who knows, It helps me get to sleep at night though :whateva:

To a T for me cause if it's one of those gears I'll secure it for myself and then boast about it later here.

AxAxSxS it's the same here. But really 2 years ago I didn't have nearly even half of what I do now. Cause I was pretty happy with my smaller selection of amps... 6 Ampeg SS's, Sunn Enforcer, Randall RG300, Ampeg B4R, Crate G600XL, Randall RH200 and very small collection of cabs... Krankrankenstein 412, Fender Bassman 412, Ampeg 810, Peavey 210 218, Kustom 215, Crate 412(empty), Carvin 412(busted)... That was it. I had enough to do what I wanted and then it sorta started when a friend found an Sunn Concert Lead in a pawn shop locally and at that time we had a guitarist wanted a better head than the Randall RH100 he had. We told him to go get it for a week, and he finally said he had no interest in going there to even try it out. So I went down and bought it. That pretty much started it, I started hitting up ebay, pawn shops, musicgoround.com just about anything. checking every single day and gobbling up gear left and right for extremely cheap prices. and here we come to now where I'm more selective but till throw bids out on stuff I have if it's cheap. and gearing up to get the more expensive heads I want. I can't just not look. I'd be bored to tears if I couldn't.
