Have you considered any other muffs?neonblack wrote:My GAS has been all over the place lately. Thought i wanted an SG bass, but then I sort of fell for this reverse jaguar, but i played one for a long time today and now im not sure. when i had both pickups on, it seemed like there was a weird barely noticeable delay between them. like one was picking up sound right before the other one. I did like the huge humbuckers though.
But now I find myself wanting a fender aerodyne. Ugh. I wonder if I could set one up with humbuckers or if it would be too much of a pain. Its set up for p/j normally. I dunno.
And don't even get me started on my board. I'm still searching for the one true fuzz. Depth charge is great in certain things, and so is the unpleasant surprise, but I still need my huge angry fuzz. Maybe the Marsh Chapel. Maybe the fuck Mountain with both sides engaged. Maybe the Buzzz. Ugh.
I got a Sanford and Sonny Bluebeard and that instantly satisfied my craving for something huge and fuzzy.

I'll have to check the Bluebeard out again. Don't remember what it sounds like but I know it gets a lot of love.

+1 on the Bluebeard, its quite the angry big muff. I'm not even sure which big muff its based on but it has its own unique character.neonblack wrote:I'll have to check the Bluebeard out again. Don't remember what it sounds like but I know it gets a lot of love.

Got a new Pignose yesterday, gave mine to my niece and nephew now that they are playing electric. Didn't think I'd miss it so much, so..

I've got this gnawing feeling like my pedalboard is missing something. Like it needs a little "Oomph". Maybe a subtle, always on compressor or an EH-2 or something similar.

NNNNcoming
Gretsch Tremofect
The signal is split into three (high, mid and low), and each frequency band has his own tremolo.
The bass and treb tremolo share the same LFO, but in opposite phase. oh my.

I tried playing with a looper yesterday and I just couldn't do anything interesting. And the timing messed me up. It was pretty frustrating.
Also, where the hell can I get a Raptio?

I've bought a lot of pedals from them and were always really nice, maybe shoot them an email to see if you can get put on a "waiting" list?neonblack wrote:Yeah, they're sold out. Drat.

Emailing!
...maybe I should wait till I pay for my BitQuest first. And order a Polytope. And a new pedalboard.

It's based on a specific Ram's head that Sonny liked the sound of.Uncle Grandfather wrote:+1 on the Bluebeard, its quite the angry big muff. The Bluebeard isn't an insane pedal, though.
It just is super great sounding.
Every setting on it is good, and it does exactly what you'd want a muff to do, exactly how you'd want it to.
So make no mistake if you get one, you're still getting a Big Muff.
Just a really good one.
Also, UG, that Tremofect looks nuuuuuuts.
Can't wait to hear a demo video of that one.
