If you already have a dl4 in your arsenal you can get that effect with the multi-head setting. Just dail that shit in and save the preset.

Uep. Bumblebee needs silence. Guyatone is more forgiving.

Philosopher King is awesome for this stuff. Unfortunately it's expensive and huge and awkward jack placement and special snowflake power supply.

Innnnnnnnnteresting. I also realize that I hadn't been fully specifying my need (probably because I've never given much thought to swell pedals before). I'd be looking for something that can go really slow, to fade in an oscillation/drone...

Also, huge thanks for the offer on the tryout, Goroth! I'm still refining my sense of what I'll need and if I'll need it, but I will keep you in mind as I consider my options.

Thank you, sir. I vaguely remember watching a NAMM demo that makes me think it alternates between two different sounds. :idk:

Yeah, from the Zvex write-up, I get the feeling it's just another boost pedal.

Oh yeah, that reminds me, the BMS has a kick-ass attack swell. Jrmz, if you want to try it out, you can borrow it anytime.

It was the Snow Box I was thinking of. Skip to 3:33:

It crossfades in white noise.

I dunno. I kind of hated how the envelope/swell was triggered. I had a chance to pick one up for $140 and just couldn't do it.

I like the swell on the prescription experience, not sure if that is the effect the OP is looking for, though.
