Daaaaaamn, son. That's a haul.
I'm only really GASing for some space in the garage for a work area, it's basically just a storage unit now.

PSA

get something stronger than an 18V hand drill if you want to make your own enclosures.

 It's a cheap old craftsman that is about to die  I need a new one actually.. and in the I don't want to spend a lot on one unless I have a project to justify it.. and that's why I pulled out the other one  It'll do until I get over my "I fucking burned out on using power tools" feels I'm in.. I'm sure it will pass in a few more months  so yeah I need a new press [and no I'm not sure what make.. yet so thread is interesting :thumb: ] and a new band saw.. I killed mine last month  it wasn't pretty  my issue though is I like portable tools… and finding good ones is you know… anyway pics… and before ideas cum to you guys… it's a bending pipe for acoustic building: halogen light bulb in a water pipe mooted to a block with the electronics inside :thumb:

I wish I could have all my tools with me. They're all just in storage. I don't have the room for them in my apartment, and nowhere really to setup a work space.

I live in apartment, but the lab I work with has lots of tools for me to mess with.
I'm currently pretty enamored with lathes.
We have a tiny metal lathe here at the lab, useful stuff.
My dad has one in his shop on our property at home.
It's gigantic and has a mill attachment, I love it.

Anyone here do any CNC stuff or 3D printing?

part 2 of this score
Image
that drill press we were talkin about
fuck yah
didnt even know about this till 2 days ago
thought it was the only thing i was gonna need after
dude says hes got a "bench top" drill press too
thing is 4"tall
old Delta

plus (all belt driven)
lathe
bench grinder
30" throat scroll saw (oddly humungous)

and a 10" planer with 3 sets of brand new knives
fairly newer so it should be plug n play

theres one more part to this score(next week)
bandsaw
joiner
???

this is all coming from one family
three generations of woodworkers
granpa passed, father retired, son in law moving into shop
the real good stuff went to my friend
(unisaw,and all the primo goods)
i got to pick from all the leftovers and doubles
for nothin,ungats,gratis,free
six months ago i wouldnt have had the space
and had to have said no
