You just described a couple ex girlfriends of mine. My wife loves MSI.neonblack wrote: I talked to a girl once whose other favorite band besides the BB's was Mindless Self Indulgence, haha
I gotta admit I kinda do to... So many memories of ecstasy quadruple stacks and fuck marathons with them as a sound track. Then I moved on to mushrooms and Russian circles / Isis as the second phase....
Oh and to throw off your height stats I'm 6'4"

I figured there'd be outliers.....there are always outliers.
Gotta fill up that end of the bell curve.
I have this vision of a massive cluster for most of our stats with a few random dots occupied way way out on the fringes.

That's crazy shit.
My brother is like your height, Skip, so that doesn't help me not feel like Napoleon.
Hmmm, there goes my theory that we were just a bunch of savage dwarves...

I'm... OK...Iommic Pope wrote:That album was massive down here as well.AngryGoldfish wrote:Oh man, they played If You Tolerate This all the time back in '98. Holy Bible is fucking awesome, though.
I have a feeling that the bleakness of OK Computer had contributed way too much to the musical landscape at the time.
And yeah Brit pop/rock was HUGE.
I've always dug Mindless Self Indulgence. They're fun.Ancient Astronaught wrote:You just described a couple ex girlfriends of mine. My wife loves MSI.neonblack wrote: I talked to a girl once whose other favorite band besides the BB's was Mindless Self Indulgence, haha

I did the exact same thing, Pg. 99, Orchid, City Of Caterpillar, Converge, and Black Flag were my introduction into heavy music.doctorpoopenstein420 wrote:Not in a hardcore band currently, but most of the bands I've ever played in were hardcore and punk oriented. All top notch. I really wish City of Caterpillar did far more than what they did.

Agreed. Kevin from them is now in a band with Johnny of PG.99 / Pygmy Lush called The Ar-Kaics which i believe is kinda retro 60's mod punk.ShaolinLambKiller wrote:All top notch. I really wish City of Caterpillar did far more than what they did.

Sounds like a waste of talent to me but that's just me. I also hate Pygmy Lush. Just don't enjoy but maybe a riff or two I've heard usually within the song they fuck it up.

I'm not gonna comment because they'rer personal friends (I went to middle / high school with everyone from PG.99, and Pygmy Lush), but I'm not gonna argue with you either.ShaolinLambKiller wrote:Sounds like a waste of talent to me but that's just me.
