I realize upfront that this is a long shot... real fucking long shot. I heard a band once, that was either black metal, or blackened doom, that had a vocalist that sounded like a dragon breathing. Very evil and deep gravelly vocal. That's all I remember

Any ideas of who that could have been? I figure at the least I will walk away from this with some new bands to check out.

. Watched Loss open for Dark Castle and Yob... that was such a great show.

This is probably the most futile thread ever haha. "Hey guys, i heard this band one time on the interwebs.. any idea who that was?"

Atmospheric music paired with the voice Smaug had when you first read The Hobbit. I just wish I wouldn't have forgotten who that was. I just remember it was fucking evil and all I could think was, if dragons would rise from their lairs and spoke to us humans, THIS would be the voice of the oldest.

The closest I have in my collection would be Lurker of Chalice.

I remember either finding it on here somewhere or from a vicious youtube loop. Turns out it was on the first page that Skully started about Black Metal in the music section and posted by WeHuntKings (though not this link).
