Change of subject: Check out the Doom Sludge band I've inserted myself into.

Jamming with two older Hessians; but they are hella rad dudes. Definitely more plugged into this sort of scene than I am,...but their tastes; like mine, are all over the place.
This band opened a show for Spirit Caravan and Pilgrim when they blew through town (a show I wanted to see,...but couldn't see due to family business).
Already had 6 rehearsals in two weeks and I'm past the learning phase and into the polishing phase. We've got a show coming up on the 25th with Diesto, Drunk Dad and Serial Hawk.
One 4 song set = about 45 minutes. The drummer has fronted a few bands and this is the first band he'd ever played drums in. I think that's cool. He drums and sings as does the guitar player.
My sound is a bit beefier than what you hear on the Bandcamps. I'll be making copious use of my MkII Supercollider (like turn it on and leave it on).
The old bassist had to bow out cause he had other priorities; so I'm told; but I detect no dramas; so that's good.
I think we are hoping to get into the studio for something a bit more polished sounding in the near future.
I am excited; especially with material that's not on the bandcamps and the direction these guys want to go in (slower and heavier) and the fact that we are getting better with every rehearsal.
