Need help w/ computer install crap (school project)

So, I'm installing this program on my computer *cough* for educational purposes, and am having a hard time following the install notes. The notes are as follows:

1. Install the application by double clicking on "Setup.msi" in
"Setup Poop 9.1 x64" folder.

2. Copy "Poopface LivePatch [io].exe" from "Patch" folder and paste it
in to the installation folder. It is generally :

C:\ProgramData\Poopface\Poop 9 Poop\Program (Attention: ProgramData)

3. RUN the patch and click on patch button.

4. Patch will create the file "Authorize.auz" in same folder. Double
click on the "Authorize.auz" to ACTIVATE and run the application.

So step 1 is easy peasy. I can get the install wizard going. But then step 2? This is the file it is talking about:


So, I copy that file from there and then I paste it in the destination folder for the set up that I began in step 1 (this is only like the 2nd screen of the install wizard, nothing has been installed yet):

^^^^That is what it looks like when I paste Poopface live patch at the end of Poop 9 Poop. Do I just hit next then? Or did I completely misinterpret step 2?

I think they want you to put the folder where you want it installed there. Then you copy and paste the livepatch into the folder after you have installed it.
So you're going to want to install to something like C:\ProgramData\Poopface\Poop 9 poop\
Then move the live patch to that folder

I wanna use a DAW that translates well for live sheee-it. But, I might check out Reaper.

So, I was running this "free download" "Poopface" Live Suite program, and was watching some youtube tutorial vids when my computer crashed. The error was IRQL_NOT_LESS_NOT_EQUAL. Through my extensive research, I'm led to believe this is the Windows 8 equivalent of the bluescreen.

Did I dun goof, and got played?
